VIDEO: Derrick Rose is 'all-in for Chicago' in new Adidas ad
Derrick Rose is back. Or will be back. And in a new ad, he says he has a lot to prove.
After suffering a torn ACL in the first game of the 2012 playoffs, Rose sat the entire 2012-13 season, despite being cleared to play shortly after the All-Star break. A myriad of reasons led to Rose remaining out, but most importantly, he just didn't feel ready.
Now he says he's 100 percent. And in a new Adidas ad, which nicely coincides with the launch of the D Rose 4 in Chicago this weekend, Rose says he's ready to make his return.
"It's time to show the world that I can still do this," he says.
Rose endured a lot of criticism for sitting while his Bulls battled through the opening round against the Nets and then fell in five games to the Heat. But there never seemed to be much of a question as to when he'd play again. It appears Rose was always targeting this season, with a full training camp and full preseason, to come back.
"It’s time to remind the world that even though I wasn’t on the court, I never left the game,” Rose says in the ad.
We haven't forgotten, D-Rose. We're just ready.
