VIDEO: Dwight Howard is ejected in final Lakers' game this season

Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard has not had a good season.

While his overall averages of 17.1 points and 12.4 rebounds (led the league) aren't bad, they were below his career averages and accompanied the worst defense that he has played in years. With the Lakers on the brink of elimination by a sweep, Howard picked up his second technical foul early in the third quarter while arguing with officials about physical play inside not being called in his favor.

If he was just trying to get an early start on the offseason so he can avoid playing for this banged-up and overmatched Lakers team throughout the rest of the game, it's hard to blame him -- except for that whole professionalism thing.

Howard picked up his first technical foul of the game in the first half, when he shoved/elbowed Cory Joseph around the head after a whistle had been called in his favor.

After Howard's ejection, he headed to the locker room as per league rules. Shortly after, Kobe Bryant joined the Lakers on the bench and received a standing ovation from much of the crowd. Looks like nobody wants to be around Dwight Howard right now.
