Here's the thing about ISO JOE, the name given to Joe Johnson's penchant for going into repetitive isolations for mid-range, contested jumpers. When he gets to cooking, nobody's going to complain about them. And with less than a minute to go, down 1 to the Knicks, no Nets fan was going to complain when Johnson did this.

Good initial defense by Chandler, good help by Jason Kidd. And then it was J.R. Smith vs. Johnson, and that's just a mismatch. Smith doesn't have the size to hang with Johnson, and that's evident by the space Johnson cleared for himself.

On the ensuing possessions, the Knicks countered with ISOMELO, but Carmelo Anthony was unable to get a similar driving pull-up shot to fall, and after some hijinx with free throws and the Nets first fouling and then not fouling, the Nets walked away with the win. But it was Johnson who lifted them into position.

And when Joe's cooking, you let him cook.
