VIDEO: John Salley says 'the Knicks will be in the Finals next year'

Former NBA player John Salley joined the Boomer and Carton show on CBS Sports Radio to talk about the effect of Phil Jackson joining the Knicks. And almost immediately, he said "The Knicks will be in the Finals next year."

With a cap-strapped team set to re-sign Carmelo Anthony to an extremely limiting max deal this summer, with no draft picks to use as trade bait and no cap room until 2015... if Salley's right, we need to annoint him as some sort of spiritual leader for all of us, forever. 

Salley's correct that Anthony has traditionally chased the money. It's hard to see him turning down the money, the city, and Phil Jackson to leave the Knicks. But building a championship team around him in one year? That sounds like a pretty tall order. But hey, if he's right, he should get that show on CBS and we can call it 'Salley of Seers." 

Also, was Salley joking about Jackson hiring him? Because it didn't sound like he was joking.
