VIDEO: LeBron James shakes free of the Pacers to sky for the alley-oop
Both teams struggling with defensive consistency in Game 1, as the Pacers lose LeBron in transition for the alley-oop jam.
The Pacers and Heat opened up with a surprisingly smooth first quarter offensively in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals as both teams were struggling to lock down on defense. We saw this last year where both team's excellent defenses found themselves in high-execution offensive games. And while the Pacers definitely got the advantage on them, LeBron James did find a gap when the Pacers lost him in transition.
And you know what happens when you lose LeBron in transition.
That's why turnovers are so dangerous in this series. Luis Scola essentially doesn't know what's going on because the Pacers are still getting back, and the next thing you know, James is going to the rim. Kaboom.
