VIDEO: Wes Matthews puts the dagger dunk to the Spurs
Blazers wing finishes off the reigning Western Champs in their home opener.
The Portland Trail Blazers fell flat in their season opener Wednesday vs. the Suns. They just couldn't shoot. Nicolas Batum said after the win vs. Denver that in the opener they just "didn't show up." But since then, they've rattled off two wins from playoff teams from last year after a win over the Spurs in their home opener Saturday night. The Spurs made a run to cut the lead, and things were getting tight.
Until Wes Matthews decided to end it.
Not for nothing, but the Spurs seem to be having trouble giving up important late-game offensive rebounds late in the game.
The Blazers go to 2-1 after their 115-110 win over San Antonio.
