The 2016-17 NBA season is far from over, with more than a month's worth of playoff action still on the docket, but it's never too early to start thinking about next season, especially on the video game front.

The next game in the NBA 2K franchise will be NBA 2K18, set to come out this fall. Along with the regular game release, there will be a special Legend Edition, which will feature Shaquille O'Neal on the cover.

Monday, a promo for the game came out, with Shaq giving a mock acceptance speech, and it's pretty funny. As the artist formerly known as "The Big Shamrock" gets to the end of his oration and begins to thank people, a familiar name pops up on the teleprompter.

"Most of all, I'd like to thank Kobe Bryant. He was an NBA 2K Legend cover athlete first. He's so awesome and handsome and has really nice natural teeth. Wait what?"

As it turned out, it was Kobe typing up the speech for Shaq to read all along.

"This ain't over, Kobe," Shaq says as the ad comes to a close, perhaps in reference to their long feud.

While it was just an ad, it was a pretty good one at that. And it was neat to see these two together again after all these years.
