WATCH: Rodman, in North Korea, goes crazy on interview with CNN

It was only a matter of time before something bizarre came of Dennis Rodman’s latest diplomacy tour of North Korea to visit his friend Kim Jong-un, and now we have it.

Rodman, in North Korea with a number of former NBA players to play a game in honor of Kim Jong-un’s birthday, took time out to do an interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Tuesday.

Cuomo asked Rodman if he would speak up in support of Kenneth Bae, an American citizen who’s been held captive in North Korea and was sentenced to 15 years in prison for "hostile acts" against the nation.

Rodman responded: “The one thing about politics, Kenneth Bae did one thing. If you understand – if you understand what Kenneth Bae did,” Rodman stammered. “Do you understand what he did? In this country?”

Rodman then went on a rant before the group’s spokesman, Charles Smith, stepped in and said they weren't there “for any political aspects.”

The NBA had this to say in regards to Rodman's trip.
