WATCH: Something horrible happened to Spurs mascot Coyote
Spurs mascot Coyote lost his eyes in an ugly collision with Nuggets guard Aaron Brooks.
Forget about nasty ACL injuries because what happened to Spurs mascot Coyote last night is even more gruesome.
Denver guard Aaron Brooks charged into the stands after a loose ball, crashed (ok, lightly bumped) into Coyote and mangled his eyes to the point of no return. I’m not a doctor, but Coyote should probably enter the NBA’s concussion protocol, and if there’s any justice in the world, the NBA will be reviewing Brooks’ conduct and should consider a suspension for the diminutive but clearly too-powerful-for-his-own-good guard.
The Spurs won 108-103, avenging their fallen mascot.
