The Timberwolves are trying to claw their way back into the postseason picture. But they've got another injury to deal with first.

The team announced Nikola Pekovic will miss at least 7-10 days with ankle bursitis, and then will be re-evaluated.

The Wolves currently sit at 22-22, three games out of eighth in the West. And Pekovic has been an absolutely integral part to the team's success. There isn't a lot of quality depth behind him, as it's likely Rick Adelman has to start rookie Gorgui Dieng, or he could go small with Kevin Love as his center and Dante Cunningham at the 4.

Pekovic, 28, is averaging 18.0 points and 9.1 rebounds in 44 games this season.
