Spurs' LaMarcus Aldridge: Erupts for game-high 34 in Wednesday's win
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Aldridge scored 34 points (13-24 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 8-8 FT) while adding eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 38 minutes during Wednesday's 100-95 win over the Nets.

No Kawhi Leonard (quad), no problem for the Spurs, as Aldridge scored at least 20 points for the seventh time in his last eight games. The 32-year-old is averaging 26.0 points, 9.3 boards and 1.0 blocks over that stretch, and he should continue to see heavy usage while Leonard remains on the shelf indefinitely.

Spurs' LaMarcus Aldridge: Scores 15 points on Saturday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Aldridge posted 14 points (7-13 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, a steal and a blocked shot in 27 minutes during Saturday's 112-80 win over the Nuggets.

We may be beginning to see the effect of Kawhi Leonard's return on Aldridge's stat line, which has been a pleasant surprise for most of the season in his absence. Aldridge owners are going to most likely see a downtick in production from Aldridge as Leonard returns to form, so while he might be a more efficient player as a result, that isn't going to help his fantasy standing much. The Spurs are always unpredictable in how they choose to spread the ball, so while a reduction in output is expected, it's really too soon to tell.

Spurs' LaMarcus Aldridge: Leads team in scoring with 20 points in loss
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Aldridge posted 20 points (6-15 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 7-8 FT), four rebounds, an assist and a blocked shot in 35 minutes during Thursday's 93-81 loss to the Lakers.

Aldridge's stat line was just ok, but definitely not what was expected in a matchup that was clearly favored to go a completely different way. the Spurs looked anemic and deflated in this matchup. Perhaps losing Kawhi Leonard again is hurting the team's morale, but something was not right with the team on Friday. Things don't get much easier this weekend as they tangle with the Nuggets on Saturday.

Spurs' LaMarcus Aldridge: Scores game-high 31 points Monday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Aldridge scored 31 points (13-20 FG, 0-2 3PT, 5-6 FT) to go with 12 rebounds, one assist and one block in 36 minutes during Monday's 107-100 win against Sacramento.

With Kawhi Leonard (shoulder) injured and numerous other Spurs inactive due to rest, Aldridge was able to score 30-plus points for the second straight game. In fact, Monday's performance was the forward's fourth straight game with at least 24 points. Aldridge has been scoring in bunches as of late, averaging 25.3 points over his last eight games. Also, after Monday's 12 rebounds, he has collected four double-doubles in his last five games, averaging 11.4 boards during this span. With the uncertainty surrounding Leonard's partially torn shoulder, Aldridge may benefit once again as the leading option in the San Antonio offense as he did in the first 26 games of the season.

Spurs' LaMarcus Aldridge: Leads team with 30 points and 14 rebounds
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Aldridge posted 30 points (12-21 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-7 FT), 14 rebounds, an assist, a steal and a blocked shot in 35 minutes during Sunday's 11-110 loss to the Trail Blazers.

With Kawhi Leonard (shoulder) back on the injury report, the Spurs reverted back to dividing the load among the rest of their starters. Aldridge ended up being the prime beneficiary, as he recorded his 15th double-double of the season in Sunday's loss. In truth, we've yet to see exactly how much Aldridge's workload will be affected by Leonard's return because Leonard never really got rolling before this shoulder tear. As the team's unquestioned starting power forward his minutes won't change, but when you consider how unhappy Aldridge was last year by playing second fiddle to Leonard, it wouldn't be a surprise to hear trade rumors swirl again. For now, Aldridge will keep putting up elite numbers with Leonard out.
