Shakur appeared in 13 games for the Blue in 2017-18, averaging 3.1 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 14.6 minutes per game.
The 33-year-old is far-removed from his days as a standout at Arizona, but he returned to the United States in 2017 after spending the past several years playing overseas. Given his age, Shakur is unlikely to return to the NBA, where he played a combined 25 career games for the Wizards (2010-11) and Thunder (2013-14).
Shakur did not play Friday during their 118-97 victory over the Legends due to a right heel contusion.
It's unknown when Shakur will be able to return to action with his right heel contusion but it could be possible that he may need time to recover. The former Arizona guard is averaging 3.2 points and 1.7 rebounds this season with the Blue.
Shakur is nearing a contract with Afyonkarahisar Belediyespor of the Turkish Basketball First League, Sportando reports.
Shakur made 22 appearances with the Wizards in 2010-11 and three with the Thunder in 2013-14, but has otherwise spent the rest of his career in the D-League or overseas. Now 32, it seems unlikely that Shakur will make another NBA comeback.
