Harris was assigned Wednesday to the D-League's Texas Legends, Marc Stein of ESPN reports.
With the Mavericks planning to sign 23-year-old forward Jarrod Uthoff for the rest of the season, they've decided to send Harris back down to the D-League. Harris has only appeared in four games this season for the team, averaging 2.0 points on 20.0 percent shooting across 6.3 minutes per game. In 40 D-League apperances this season, the 27-year-old guard is averaging 26.2 points on 45.4 percent shooting, 7.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists across 39.0 minutes per game.
Harris was recalled Sunday from the D-League's Texas Legends, Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com reports.
Harris was with the Legends for their game on Saturday, finishing with 27 points (11-22 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and two steals across 42 minutes. He'll rejoin the big club ahead of Monday's game against the Thunder, although he's not a part of the Mavericks' regular rotation and may not see the court in a competitive contest.
Harris was assigned to the D-League on Saturday, Earl Sneed of Mavs.com reports.
Both Harris and Jarrod Uthoff were assigned to the Texas Legends, and the pair will be available Saturday night against Austin. The former Michigan standout has appeared in four games since signing with the Mavs earlier in the month, but he's played more than four minutes in only one of those contests.
Harris has taken part in three games for the Mavericks since signing his first 10-day deal, averaging 2.0 points and 2.7 rebounds across 7.0 minutes per outing. He's only logged a few spot minutes, but coach Rick Carlisle has liked what he's seen and will bring Harris back for another 10 days for additional evaluation before potentially signing him for the rest of the season. That said, unless an injury occurs higher up on the depth chart, Harris remains off the fantasy radar.
Harris was assigned Friday to the Texas Legends of the D-League, Dwain Price of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Harris was brought up for Friday's game against the Nets, but he ended up just seeing two minutes on the court and went 0-for-2. He'll now return to the Legends where he has been one of the very best players in the entire D-League, but he is not expected to see meaningful minutes with Dallas under his 10-day contract.
