Cauley-Stein was at it again on Friday, providing his usual allotment of points, rebounds and assists. Although he's been rather unspectacular with limited upside, Cauley-Stein is a consistent fantasy option with a high floor. His night-to-night performances rarely deviate far from his season averages.
Cauley-Stein had a typical performance, reminiscent of his season averages in points (12.4), rebounds (8.4) and assists (2.5). While the rebounds and assists are both career highs, Cauley-Stein hasn't developed into the high-caliber center he was drafted to be in 2015.
Cauley-Stein had just four points and one rebound in 13 minutes during Monday's 112-105 loss to the Timberwolves.
Cauley-Stein received two fouls in the first three minutes and was never able to get things going, putting up just four points in 13 minutes. There is nothing to worry about here as the low minutes are clearly an outlier in what has been a solid season. Cauley-Stein will look to bounce back against the Bucks on Wednesday.
Cauley-Stein produced 10 points (5-9 FG), 11 rebounds, two assists, and one block in 30 minutes during Saturday's 119-116 victory over the Thunder.
Cauley-Stein ended Saturday's win with 10 points and 11 rebounds, his first double-double since January 13. His hot start to the season is a distant memory for owners as he has scored in double-digits in just three of his past seven games. The rapid improvement of both Marvin Bagley and Harry Giles has cut into Cauley-Stein's production and he is more of a fringe standard league player right now.
Cauley-Stein produced 19 points (8-9 FG, 3-5 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and two steals over 33 minutes in Saturday's 115-108 win over the Sixers.
The 24-year old center is rounding into form in his fourth season with the Kings, as he's outplaying his previous yearly averages with 13.2 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. The improved play of Buddy Hield and De'Aaron Fox has yielded more looks inside for Cauley-Stein, and he's shown vast improvement in the post versus the NBA's best big men.
