The Nets didn't re-sign McCall after his 10-day contract expired Friday.
McCall appeared in one game for Brooklyn, posting four points and one rebound during an eight-minute appearance in a Feb. 27 loss to the Wizards. Though he's no longer a member of Brooklyn's roster, McCall will stick around in the organization with their G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets.
The 24-year-old out of Tennessee State has appeared in 23 games for the Long Island Nets this season, averaging 10.0 points, 3.7 rebounds. 2.4 assists and 1.6 steals across 25 minutes per game. He'll now get an opportunity over the next week and a half to prove his worth at the highest level.
McCall (undisclosed) tallied 18 minutes Friday, scoring five points (2-2 FG, 1-2 FT), three assist, three rebounds, one steal and one blocked shot
McCall did not play in the team's previous four games, having now missed 15 games this year. While he's playing 27.3 minutes per game, he's only averaging 9.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.5 steals.
McCall (foot) played 11 minutes in Sunday's contest against the Red Claws.
McCall missed over a month with a strain in his left foot, so it was good to see him take the court Sunday. It's unclear how many minutes he'll see now that he is back or near full health.
McCall (foot) did not play in the win Wednesday over Windy City.
McCall has missed the past 11 games with what was only recently identified as a sprained foot. Long Island will challenge the Red Claws on Sunday, where McCall will hope to make his return.
