Terrell (ankle) has suited up in each of the G League Iowa Wolves' last three games, averaging 9.3 points (on 30.3 percent shooting from the field), 3.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 three-pointer in 26.7 minutes per contest over that stretch.
Before suiting up in Iowa's Feb. 20 win over the Texas Legends, Terrell hadn't appeared in any games at the NBA or G League level for nearly two weeks while tending to a sprained ankle. He has seen his playing time rise in the subsequent two contests since returning and looks to be free of restrictions at this point. With Minnesota now at full strength in the backcourt coming out of the All-Star break, Terrell likely won't see much NBA action in what remains of the regular season.
Terrell (ankle) isn't available for Friday's game against New Orleans,
Terrell is currently battling through a sprained ankle, which is likely why he's inactive for Friday's clash. The Timberwolves will get some help back at point guard, as Jeff Teague is expected to play some minutes off the bench.
Terrell has been dealing with a sprained ankle, Chris Hine of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Although Terrell is currently down with Minnesota's G-League affiliate, the Iowa Wolves, this news is significant because it means Terrell likely won't be available for Friday's matchup in New Orleans should the Timberwolves need him. Jeff Teague (foot), Derrick Rose (ankle), Tyus Jones (ankle) and now Jerryd Bayless (toe) are all questionable due to their respective injuries, so Isaiah Canaan could be in line for a big workload Friday night.
Terrell recorded 34 points (12-23 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 6-8 FT), five rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block in 47 minutes Saturday against Memphis.
Not only did Terrell post a big scoring performance, but he also contributed across the board on the way to a 131-128 victory in overtime. After falling behind in the first half, Terrell and company managed to claw back into the contest with the help of Terrell's production. He's averaging 16.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 steals in 24 games this season with the Wolves.
Terrell finished with 10 points (4-5 FG, 2-3 3Pt) across 10 minutes in the Timberwolves' 120-105 win over the Lakers on Thursday.
The rookie offered some valuable contributions in the Timberwolves' injury-decimated backcourt. Terrell has been out of the rotation for the majority of the season, but injuries to Jeff Teague (foot), Tyus Jones (ankle) and Derrick Rose (ankle) have afforded him a combined 16 minutes over the last two games. Despite his recent opportunities, however, Terrell figures to return to a near non-existent role once his aforementioned teammates return to health.
Terrell had five points (2-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt) and one assist in six minutes during Tuesday's 118-91 win over the Suns.
Terrell has appeared in just four games thus far this season, and this was actually his highest scoring performance to date. The rookie can safely be left on waiver wires across all formats.
Terrell scored four points, but was 1-of-8 from the field, with two steals in 21 minutes in his NBA debut in Sunday's loss at Portland.
Terrell, an undrafted free agent from Rhode Island, got some playing time amid a blowout loss. He's unlikely to get any kind of consistent playing time off the bench as he's likely to return to Iowa of the G-League at some point. Still, this shows the T-Wolves are high on his prospects.
Terrell recorded 13 points (5-13 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and a steal over 18 minutes in Monday's 78-69 win over the Nets in a Vegas Summer League contest.
The Former Rhode Island guard went undrafted but found a spot on the summer league roster after signing a two-way deal with Minnesota in June. He'll likely be in the mix for a spot on the T-Wolves G-League roster later in the summer.
