Holman could muster only one basket despite logging 16 minutes, his most playing time since Feb. 21. The Mississippi State product is averaging a scant five points on 34.8 percent shooting from the field over his last four games.

Holman's performance was only his second double-digit scoring game in his last six contests. The undrafted rookie's playing time has fluctuated throughout the season, but he has managed to post per-game averages of 10.1 points and 4.7 rebounds over 30 contests.

Holman's double-double was just his second this season and first since Nov. 25. The undrafted rookie fell one shy of his season-best scoring effort with 23 points in the loss. He has played well over his last two games, averaging 20.5 points and 8.5 rebounds following a scoreless four-minute outing Jan. 3.

Holman scored 16 points in 27 minutes two days earlier but was back to limited playing time Tuesday. Since notching double-digit points in three consecutive games from Dec. 10 to Dec. 14, the undrafted rookie has averaged only 5.3 points in six contests.

Holman came off the bench to register his highest scoring game of the season in the victory. The 22-year-old has scored in double-digits in five of his first six G League games and is averaging 14.2 points per contest on 54.2 percent shooting from the field.

Although Holman averaged only 8.3 points per game in his four seasons with Mississippi State, he has shown a penchant for scoring in the G League thus far, racking up 50 points in 65 minutes through four games. Much of his damage has been done from behind the arc as he has drilled 10 treys in 23 attempts from deep. He was a good three-point shooter in college (42.9 percent in four seasons), so he could turn some heads as a forward capable of spacing the floor.
Holman was waived by Dallas on Tuesday, Bobby Karalla of the Mavericks' official site reports.
Holman, who went undrafted this summer, was claimed off waivers by the Mavericks in August. Assuming he clears waivers this time, the center could likely end up with Dallas' G League affiliate once the season begins.

Holman will be waived by the Lakers on Monday, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports.
Holman, who is currently on a Exhibit 10-day contract, will be reportedly waived to make room for the newly signed Dwight Howard. The rookie out of Mississippi State will look to grab another contract with another team, presumably a G League contract, if at all any.
