Jaylen Morris: Gets start at power forward
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Morris finished Tuesday's win over Austin with 20 points (7-12 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five assists, four rebounds and a steal.

Morris has essentially picked up right where he left off after joining the team following a stint with the Herd, averaging 14.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 12 games with the BayHawks. Morris has rotated between starting small forward, power forward and coming off the bench, but he's still averaging about 35 minutes per contest regardless of where he plays which should benefit fantasy owners hoping to capitalize on a depreciated price.

Jaylen Morris: Rejoins Erie
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Morris was added to the Erie BayHawks' active roster Thursday.

The BayHawks had previously selected Morris in the second round of the 2017 G League Draft, with the shooting guard later receiving a pair of 10-day contracts from the Hawks last February before being signed for the rest of the season. He was then waived by Atlanta over the summer, only to sign a two-way contract with Milwaukee. With the Bucks having released Morris earlier in the month, he'll now report back to the BayHawks, who retained his G League rights.

Jaylen Morris: Waived by Milwaukee
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Morris was let go by the Bucks on Sunday, Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Morris hasn't appeared in a game for Milwaukee since Dec. 14, and he'll be on the lookout for a new home after parting ways with the Bucks. He's averaging just 2.5 points in four contests this season.

Bucks' Jaylen Morris: Third DNP with Bucks
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Morris (coach's decision) didn't leave the bench in Monday's 110-107 loss at Charlotte.

That's three straight DNP's for Morris, who's on a one-year two-way contract with the Bucks. He's only appeared in two games with the parent club and might be due for a trip to the G League Wisconsin Herd for a boost in playing time.

Bucks' Jaylen Morris: Changes course, signs two-way deal with Bucks
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Morris, who agreed to join an Italian team earlier in the week, has opted out of his contract to sign a two-way deal with Milwaukee, freelance reporter David Pick reports.

Morris saw limited action in the NBA during his rookie campaign last season, totaling 98 minutes for Atlanta. During his senior year at Molloy College, he posted 19.9 points per game on 55.0 percent shooting and was selected to the ECC All-First Team. Not only was he an efficient scorer, the guard also accumulated 45 steals in 29 contests. Now, he'll have a chance to showcase that ability with the Bucks' G-League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd. As is the nature of two-way contracts, Morris will be able to spend as many as 45 days at the NBA level, should the team choose to call him up.

Jaylen Morris: Heads overseas
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Morris agreed to a contract with Fiat Torino on Saturday, Sportando.com reports. The contract contains an NBA out.

Morris, after playing just 98 minutes for Atlanta during his rookie campaign, will opt to take his talents to Italy, where he's likely to see more run. The Molloy College product saw 16.3 minutes per appearance for the Hawks, averaging 4.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists. During his senior year of college, Morris was awarded ECC All-First Team and posted 19.9 points per game on 55.0 percent shooting. He was also a significant contributor on defense, swiping 45 steals across 29 contests.

Jaylen Morris: Waived by Hawks
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Morris (ankle) was waived by the Hawks on Thursday, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Morris latched on with the Hawks late last year, signing a pair of 10-day contracts before inking a deal for the rest of the season. However, a lingering left ankle sprain costed him the final 15 games of the season, so Morris never really got a chance to earn consistent run. In need of some additional roster spots, the Hawks are now set to waive Morris, who will likely go unclaimed and become an unrestricted free agent. It's unclear what sort of interest he'll find elsewhere in the NBA, but it wouldn't be surprising if Morris started the 2018-19 campaign in the G-League.

Hawks' Jaylen Morris: Out again Friday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Morris (ankle) will remain out for Friday's matchup with the Wizards, KL Chouinard of ATLand29.com reports.

Morris has been out since mid-March and there's a growing possibility he doesn't get back on the floor with just two games left on the schedule following Friday's contest. Additional word on his availability should be updated again ahead of Sunday's game, though he'd likely need to take part in some sort of practice in order to be cleared for a return.

Hawks' Jaylen Morris: Out Tuesday vs. Heat
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Morris (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's matchup with the Heat, KL Chouinard of ATLand29.com reports

Morris' ankle injury has now kept him sidelined for 11 straight games and with the regular season concluding in just over a week, there appears to be a realistic shot he'll be shut down. That said, until the Hawks officially do so, Morris will continue to be evaluated on a game-to-game basis.

Hawks' Jaylen Morris: Out again Friday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Morris (ankle) is listed as out for Friday's game against the 76ers.

Morris is still battling a sprained ankle and will be missing a ninth straight game because of it Friday. With less than two weeks left in the regular season, there's a chance he's shut down completely, though he'll still be evaluated on a game-to-game basis until the Hawks provide something more definitive.

Hawks' Jaylen Morris: Will remain out Wednesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Morris (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves.

Morris has been sidelined since March 13 and while it's been slightly over his original two-week timetable for a return, he'll remain sidelined once again Wednesday. He hasn't been given any sort of timetable for a return, so look for Morris to continue to be evaluated on a game-to-game basis moving forward. Despite dealing with an ankle injury, Morris was signed for the rest of the season following the completion of two 10-day contracts.

Hawks' Jaylen Morris: Signs for remainder of season
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Morris (ankle) has agreed to sign with the Hawks for the remainder of the season, Jeremy Woo of Sports Illustrated reports.

Morris, who was on his second 10-day deal, will be out until the end of March due to a sprained ankle, though the club feels that he's worth investing in for the remainder of the 2017-18 campaign. Prior to the game where he injured his ankle, Morris had averaged 4.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 18.8 minutes.

Hawks' Jaylen Morris: Out two weeks with sprained ankle
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Morris has been diagnosed with a left ankle sprain and is expected to miss around two weeks, Michael Cunningham of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Morris, who's currently playing on his second 10-day contract, suffered the ankle injury in the first half of Sunday's contest and considering the projected timetable, it clearly was a fairly significant sprain. This doesn't bode well for Morris' ability to secure a contract for the remainder of the season, so we could see him being let go once his current 10-day deal expires. In six games with the Hawks, Morris has averaged 4.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists across 16.3 minutes.

Hawks' Jaylen Morris: Suffers ankle injury Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Morris suffered a left ankle injury during Sunday's game against the Bulls and will not return, KL Chouinard of ATLand29.com reports.

Morris suffered the injury in the first half of Sunday's contest and he'll finish with four points (2-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound and one assist across six minutes. He's set to have additional testing performed on the ankle, which should give us a better idea on the severity of it. Expect another update shortly, though he can now be considered questionable for Tuesday's game against the Thunder.

by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Hawks signed Morris to a second 10-day contract Sunday, Michael Cunningham of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Morris has appeared in five games for the Hawks since inking his first 10-day deal in February, averaging 4.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 18.6 minutes over those contests. Once Morris' second 10-day deal expires later this month, the Hawks will have to sign him for the rest of the season or forfeit their rights to the 6-foot-5 rookie.
