  • Hornets' Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: Doubtful for Wedesday

Kidd-Gilchrist (ankle) is not expected to play in Wednesday's game against, Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Kidd-Gilchrist has been sidelined for the last three games while nursing a right ankle sprain, and given that he hasn't been able to return to practice since suffering the injury, his status for Wednesday isn't looking too good. Even when healthy, however, Kidd-Gilchrist is not viewed as a reliable fantasy option.

  • Hornets' Jeremy Lamb: Scores 18 in win over Celtics

Lamb scored 18 points (7-13 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT) while adding six rebounds in 28 minutes during Monday's 117-112 win over the Celtics.

He's been an effective Robin to Kemba Walker's Batman lately, and Lamb is averaging 16.5 points, 6.4 boards, 1.4 steals and 1.3 three-pointers in 27.4 minutes over his last eight games. The 26-year-old may be playing a little over his head at the moment, but with Walker commanding all the attention from opposition defenses, Lamb should continue to see plenty of open looks.

  • Hornets' Kemba Walker: Stays hot with 43 points in win

Walker scored a game-high 43 points (14-25 FG, 7-13 3Pt, 8-9 FT) while adding five assists, four rebounds and a steal in 39 minutes during Monday's 117-112 win over the Celtics.

After firing up a career-high 60 points Saturday against Philly, Walker barely slowed down at all in a home victory over Boston. It's already the third time this season the guard has struck for 40 or more points, and his massive recent performances have pushed him to the top of the NBA leaderboard in scoring at 29.8 per game -- over six points a night better than his previous personal best.

  • Hornets' Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: Out Monday

Kidd-Gilchrist (ankle) will not play Monday against Boston.

Kidd-Gilchrist will sit out for the third straight game as he continues to nurse a sprained right ankle. The former No. 2 pick is a versatile defender and productive rebounder, but his lack of scoring prowess prevents him from being relevant in most fantasy leagues.

  • Hornets' Jeremy Lamb: Double-double in OT loss

Lamb scored 20 points (6-18 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 7-7 FT) while adding 10 rebounds, three assists and a steal in 40 minutes during Saturday's 122-119 overtime loss to the 76ers.

While most of the Hornets were spectators to Kemba Walker's huge 60-point performance, Lamb actually stepped up and gave the Charlotte star a little support, scoring 20-plus points for the second straight game and recording his first double-double of the season. The 26-year-old is averaging modest career highs in points (13.4), boards (4.9), steals (1.3) and made three-pointers (1.4) through 15 games, giving him solid fantasy value in deeper formats, and the Hornets' lack of an established secondary option on offense opens the door for Lamb to continue improving on those numbers as the season progresses.

  • Hornets' Kemba Walker: Pours in career-high 60 in OT loss

Walker scored 60 points (21-34 FG, 6-14 3Pt, 12-12 FT) while adding seven rebounds, four assists and four steals in 45 minutes during Saturday's 122-119 overtime loss to the 76ers.

He also committed nine turnovers, but that's bound to happen when you handle the ball that much. Not only was Walker's scoring explosion the best of his career and the highest output by any NBA player this season, topping Klay Thompson's 52, it also set a new league record for biggest game-over-game improvement after he stumbled to seven points in Tuesday's loss to the Cavs.

  • Hornets' Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: Out Saturday

Kidd-Gilchrist (ankle) was absent at practice Friday and is out Saturday, Rod Boone of The Athletic reports.

Kidd-Gilchrist missed practice for the second straight day and will be also missing his second consecutive contest Saturday against the 76ers because of a lingering sprained right ankle. Teammates Marvin Williams and Miles Bridges will likely fill in for the absent Kidd-Gilchrist. Currently, Kidd-Gilchrist is averaging 8.6 points and 5.9 rebounds over 13 games this year.

  • Hornets' Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: Sits out practice Thursday

Kidd-Gilchrist (ankle) did not practice Thursday, Hornets reporter Rick Bonnell reports.

Kidd-Gilchrist missed Tuesday's game against Cleveland, and he's not trending in the right direction ahead of Saturday's matchup with the 76ers. Look for a more definitive update after Friday's practice, but as of now it would be a surprise if Kidd-Gilchrist plays.

  • Hornets' Frank Kaminsky: Scores five points in five minutes

Kaminsky finished with five points (1-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, and one assist in five minutes during Tuesday's 113-89 loss to the Cavaliers.

Kaminsky managed season highs in scoring and rebounding, though of course that speaks to how far he has fallen on the team's depth chart down low. The five games Kaminsky has appeared in thus far have all been massive blowouts, and having earned just 27 minutes on the year, he can be left on waiver wires.

  • Hornets' Dwayne Bacon: Plays 16 minutes in Tuesday's loss

Bacon had five points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and three rebounds in 16 minutes during Tuesday's 113-89 loss to the Cavaliers.

Bacon has earned double-digit minutes twice in the last three games, though that was sandwiched by a tilt where he saw none. Thus far his best showing of the season came during last Friday's one-point overtime loss to the 76ers, a game in which Bacon fouled out in a season-high 23 minutes but contributed a season-high 15 points (5-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT) to go with one board, one dime, and one steal. Bacon and the Hornets have a few days to rest, recover, and prepare for Saturday's matchup with the 76ers.

  • Hornets' Kemba Walker: Delivers dud in Tuesday's loss

Walker had seven points (2-16 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 2-5 FT), six assists, four rebounds, two steals, and one block in 36 minutes during Tuesday's 113-89 loss to the Cavaliers.

Walker was due for a dismal showing, as he has been one of the most statistically dominant players over the first month of the season. Prior to this game, Walker had failed to reach 20 points in two of 13 tilts, and even those were efficient 19 and 18-point efforts on 14 and 12 field-goal attempts, respectively. Walker will have a few days off before Saturday's home matchup with a 76ers team that he has already posted big numbers (albeit inefficiently) against twice this year, but that also just acquired Jimmy Butler.

  • Hornets' Jeremy Lamb: Scores season-high 22 points in Tuesday's loss

Lamb totaled 22 points (8-16 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), six rebounds, three steals, and two assists in 32 minutes during Tuesday's 113-89 loss to the Cavaliers.

Lamb finished with a season high scoring total while matching his season high in steals. He has reached double figures in scoring in all but two of the 14 games thus far this season, including six straight to begin November. It's still early, but Lamb could certainly be in for a career year.

  • Hornets' Dwayne Bacon: Could see more action Tuesday

Bacon is expected to see an uptick in playing time Tuesday against the Cavaliers, Spencer Davies of BBall Insiders reports.

Bacon has appeared in only six games so far this season, averaging 5.2 points across 8.5 minutes. Coach James Borrego stated that Bacon is going to get more playing time in Cleveland with Miles Bridges seeing more time at power forward.

  • Hornets' Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: Ruled out for Tuesday

Kidd-Gilchrist (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Cavaliers.

Kidd-Gilchrist suffered a right ankle sprain during Sunday's win over the Pistons, and he's set to miss at least one game as a result of the injury. While the severity of the issue remains unclear, it's worth noting that the 25-year-old was seen in a walking boot following Sunday's win, according to Rod Boone of The Athletic. Look for Miles Bridges to see some extra run in place of Kidd-Gilchrist, who should be tentatively considered questionable for Saturday's game against the 76ers.
