  • Cavaliers' Kyle Korver: Returns from injury vs. Detroit

Korver (foot) logged 18 minutes and scored four points (1-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT) while collecting two rebounds and two blocks in Monday's loss to the Pistons.

As expected, Korver managed to take the court Monday following a brief two-game absence due to foot soreness. The 37-year-old sharpshooter is putting up 5.5 points along with 1.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists over 15.3 minutes per contest so far this year and should be good to go moving forward.

  • Cavaliers' Collin Sexton: Battling through hip issue

Sexton suffered a hip injury during Monday's game against Detroit, Marla Ridenour of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Sexton reportedly suffered the injury early in the game, although he toughed it out and logged 24 minutes while scoring 18 points in a 113-102 loss. It's unknown whether the issue will cause him to miss any time, but details surround Sexton's status moving forward should emerge prior to Wednesday's tilt with the Lakers. He'll be considered a game-time decision for now.

  • Cavaliers' J.R. Smith: Retreats to bench

Smith will come off the bench Monday against the Pistons, Keith Langlois of the Pistons' official site reports.

After starting the previous four games, Smith will return to a bench role as Cedi Osman rejoins the starting lineup in his place. Smith is averaging 6.3 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists across 16.3 minutes per game as a reserve this season (six games).

  • Cavaliers' Cedi Osman: Joins starting five Monday

Osman is starting at forward Monday against the Pistons, Keith Langlois of the Pistons' official site reports.

Osman will rejoin the starting lineup after coming off the bench in his first game back from a minor injury last week. He'll replace J.R. Smith in the starting five. In 11 starts this season, Osman is averaging 11.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists across 30.6 minutes.

  • Cavaliers' Kyle Korver: Expects to return Monday

Korver expects to return Monday against the Pistons, the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Korver has missed the last two games with a sore foot, but he's making strong progress and expects to be back in the mix Monday night. Even with his workload picking up prior to the injury, the veteran sharpshooter is an afterthought in fantasy leagues, though he could have slightly increased value later on if he's dealt to a better basketball situation.

  • Cavaliers' Kyle Korver: Participates in shooting drills

Korver (foot) will "slowly be worked back into things" and expects to play Monday, Spencer Davies of Basketball Insiders reports.

Korver, who has missed the last two games due to foot soreness, participated in shooting drills Friday and seemed to be getting up-to-speed again. The Cavaliers will slowly work the veteran back into the rotation and Korver may likely see action Monday at Detroit.

  • Cavaliers' Collin Sexton: Drops game-high 24 in loss to Wizards

Sexton scored 24 points (9-16 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT) while adding three rebounds and two assists in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 119-95 loss to the Wizards.

Making his fourth straight start, Sexton led all scorers while continuing to be locked in from three-point range, as he's gone 7-for-10 from beyond the arc over that four-game stretch. The eighth overall pick in the 2018 draft is quickly taking control of the offense for the rebuilding Cavs -- none of his teammates managed more than 11 points on the night -- and there's no guarantee George Hill gets his starting spot back once he recovers from a shoulder injury.

  • Cavaliers' Cedi Osman: Will play in Wednesday's game

Osman (back) will come off the bench Wednesday against the Wizards, Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com reports.

The Cavaliers are being cautious with Osman who has been out for a week with back spasms and will "monitor his minutes" Wednesday. It is unclear exactly how many minutes Osman will play, or how long any restrictions will last, but it's a positive sign that the Turkish forward will be able to play. So long as Osman's run is limited, J.R. Smith should play a larger role albeit less than the 31 minutes he's averaged over the past three games.
