Mavericks' P.J. Washington: Posts double figures in Game 1 loss
Washington racked up 11 points (4-10 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, one block and two steals over 37 minutes during Sunday's 109-97 loss to the Clippers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
The big man started alongside Daniel Gafford up front and knocked down a pair of threes on his way to joining Kyrie Irving (31 points) and Luka Doncic (33) as the only Mavs players in double figures. The fact that Washington saw 37 minutes of action bodes well for his fantasy value as the series moves along.

Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Strong from deep in 30-point outing
Irving ended with 31 points (10-18 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 8-9 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and two steals over 39 minutes during Sunday's 109-97 loss to the Clippers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
Irving entered the postseason well-rested after sitting the final two games of the regular season, and while both he and Luka Doncic (33 points) had strong offensive showings, it wasn't enough to propel the Mavs over the Kawhi Leonard-less Clippers. Irving finishing with at least 30 points in 13 outings during the regular season, entering the playoffs with three or more threes in eight of his final 10 contests.

Mavericks' Luka Doncic: Top scorer in double-double outing
Doncic had 33 points (11-26 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 7-8 FT), 13 rebounds, six assists and one steal in 42 minutes during Sunday's 109-97 loss to the Clippers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
Doncic didn't show any signs of rust in Sunday's Game 1 of the playoffs after sitting the final two games of the regular season, leading all players in scoring while leading the Mavericks in threes made, rebounds and assists in a double-double effort. Doncic posted at least 30 points and 13 rebounds in four games during the regular season, posting north of 25 points in 10 straight outings to round out the year.

Mavericks' Jaden Hardy: Moves to bench

Hardy is unlikely to be relevantly utilized in the postseason rotation, with the second-year guard having no playoff experience under his belt. Dallas' backcourt is fully healthy entering their first-round series against the Clippers.

With Dallas resting its regulars, Green drew a spot start during the regular-season finale and posted four points, three rebounds and three assists in 31 minutes during a loss to Oklahoma City. Hardaway has moved past an ailment that bothered him the last few days. He will likely play off the bench during Dallas' playoff opener after starting the final two regular-season games while most of the usual starters rested. Gafford (elbow) is not on the official injury report and will be available for Game 1 of the opening-round series against the Clippers on Sunday.
With Dallas already locked into its playoff matchup, Gafford didn't play in the Mavericks' final game of the regular season. He shouldn't have any limitations for the playoff opener against the Clippers. He averaged 9.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per game over his last 10 appearances and should continue to start at center, though Dereck Lively (knee) will also be available.
