  • Pistons' Luke Kennard: Out another two weeks

Kennard (shoulder) underwent an evaluation this week and will go through at least two more weeks of rehab, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.

Kennard appears to be progressing well in his rehab from an AC joint sprain he suffered near the end of October, but he is still a ways away from being able to partake in basketball activities. Expect another update on the shooting guard's progress in another two weeks or so.

  • Pistons' Reggie Bullock: Drops season-high 23 in loss to Hornets

Bullock scored 23 points (7-13 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT) while adding three rebounds, two assists and a steal in 34 minutes during Sunday's 113-103 loss to the Hornets.

He tied Andre Drummond for the team lead in scoring while posting his best point total, and doubling his previous best in made three-pointers, through nine games this season. Bullock appears fully recovered from the ankle injury that cost him the first two games in November, and the 27-year-old could be headed for a career year providing a secondary scoring threat on the outside for the Pistons.

  • Pistons' Andre Drummond: 20-20 performance in loss to Hornets

Drummond scored 23 points (9-16 FG, 5-7 FT) while adding 22 rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks in 37 minutes during Sunday's 113-103 loss to the Hornets.

It's his fourth straight double-double, and his fifth game already this season with at least 20 points and 20 boards. Drummond is once again leading the NBA in rebounding, and after grabbing a career-high 16.0 boards per game last season, the 25-year-old center seems intent on topping that number in 2018-19.

  • Pistons' Khyri Thomas: Recalled from G-League

Thomas has been recalled from the G-League for Sunday's game against the Hornets, Rod Beard of The Detroit News reports.

Thomas has seen just four minutes of NBA action this season, so he is likely being called up to provide Detroit with some depth at the wing. He has bounced back and forth between the two leagues this season, and will likely go back down to continue to get some in-game action.

  • Pistons' Henry Ellenson: Recalled Sunday

Ellenson was recalled from the G League on Sunday, Rod Beard of The Detroit News reports.

This is already the third time this season that Elleson has been sent down and then recalled later from the G League. The former Marquette star has been tearing it up in the G League but can't seem to get any minutes with the Pistons currently.

  • Pistons' Luke Kennard: Will be re-evaluated in a week

Kennard (shoulder) will be re-evaluated in another week, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.

The update is consistent with the timetable the Pistons gave after Kennard initially suffered the separated shoulder. Although owners still don't have a definite timetable for Kennard's return, the update demonstrates that he's making progress with his recovery. Look for an update next week to shed more light on the situation. Langston Galloway should continue to fill in for Kennard.

  • Pistons' Andre Drummond: Records third straight double-double in 33 minutes

Drummond scored 23 points (10-15 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-7 FT), grabbed 11 rebounds, dished one assist, snatched one steal and recorded four blocks in 33 minutes Friday in Detroit's win over Atlanta.

Drummond led the way, posting his third straight double-double, for a Pistons team that recently stopped a five-game losing streak. An interesting development to note is Drummond's new-found dedication to stretching the floor as he works through his first season under Dwayne Casey. It's true that he is only connecting on 18.2-percent of his three's this season and is averaging just one attempt from beyond-the-arc so far, but it's notable that is ten times higher than his previous career high. The seven-year NBA veteran has become a known commodity in fantasy circles, but the dedication to stretching his game shows the first sign of real change since he started garnering starter-level minutes.

  • Pistons' Stanley Johnson: Turns in season-best outing off bench

Johnson registered 22 points (8-16 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, three steals and two assists across 24 minutes in the Pistons' 124-109 win over the Hawks on Friday.

The scoring total, three-point production and steal output were all season bests for Johnson. The fourth-year wing moved to the bench three games ago in favor of Glenn Robinson, with the change seemingly lighting a fire under Johnson. While coach Dwane Casey may not be willing to alter his units with the Pistons winning two of their last three games and taking a close overtime loss in the other, Johnson's minutes could rise if he keeps playing well off the bench. Since shifting to a reserve role, Johnson is averaging 11.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.3 treys, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 20 minutes per contest while shooting 46.4 percent from the floor.

  • Pistons' Blake Griffin: Drops 20 in win over Magic

Griffin scored 20 points (7-17 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT) while adding five rebounds, three assists and a steal in 35 minutes during Wednesday's 103-96 win over the Magic.

He's scored at least 20 points in five straight games and nine of 10 to begin the season, while the five boards were actually Griffin's lowest total of the year so far. The 29-year-old is on a career-best scoring pace, and he's averaging a double-double for the first time since 2011-12, giving the Pistons one of the most dominant frontcourts in the NBA alongside Andre Drummond.

  • Pistons' Andre Drummond: Another big double-double in win over Magic

Drummond scored a team-high 23 points (10-16 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding 19 rebounds, three steals, two assists and a block in 35 minutes during Wednesday's 103-96 win over the Magic.

The Pistons' frontcourt continues to be the engine of the team's offense, as Drummond and Blake Griffin each scored at least 20 points for the second straight game and the fifth time in 10 contests to begin the season. Drummond also racked up his eighth double-double, putting him behind only Joel Embiid and Rudy Gobert among the NBA's big men.

  • Pistons' Reggie Bullock: Starting Wednesday

Bullock (ankle) will play and start Wednesday against the Magic, Rod Beard of The Detroit News reports.

Bullock has missed the past two games due to a sprained left ankle. The time off has helped him recover, and he'll rejoin the starting five against Orlando. Prior to the injury, he was averaging 12.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 32.4 minutes.

  • Pistons' Glenn Robinson: To remain in starting five

Robinson will remain in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Magic, the Detroit Free Press reports. "I thought he brought energy, shooting, scoring and the threat of scoring," coach Dwane Casey said after Tuesday's practice. "He had a great look to win the game last night. He was 2 of 3 (from long range) to that point, so he did a good job of spacing the floor and shooting the 3."

Robinson moved into the starting five in place of Stanley Johnson on Wednesday and finished with a season-high 16 points, to go with two rebounds, two blocks and a steal in 30 minutes. He's by no means locked into the starting lineup going forward, but with Johnson struggling to begin the year, Casey is open to switching things up. Prior to Monday, Robinson hadn't played more than 14 minutes in any game since opening night.
