Top Bucks News

  • Bucks' Sterling Brown: Recalled from G-League

Brown was recalled from the G-League on Thursday.

Brown played for the G-League's Wisconsin Herd during Wednesday's loss to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. He tallied 23 points (9-15 FG, 5-9 3Pt), three steals and one rebound. Brown has struggled to find a role at the NBA level this season, totaling 41 minutes and racking up 15 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and a block with the Bucks.

  • Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Scores season-high 16 points in Wednesday's loss

Connaughton compiled 16 points (6-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one block in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 116-113 loss to the Grizzlies.

Connaughton finished with season highs in scoring, steals, and minutes while sinking at least two treys for the fifth time in the last nine games. Donte DiVincenzo (knee soreness) leaving the game in the first half likely played a part in Connaughton earning that season high minute total, but he made the most of his opportunity, and could be a decent cheap option in daily leagues if DiVincenzo misses Friday's matchup with the lowly Bulls.

  • Bucks' Eric Bledsoe: Well-rounded line in Wednesday's loss

Bledsoe contributed 15 points (6-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), seven assists, six rebounds, and two steals in 30 minutes during Wednesday's 116-113 loss to the Grizzlies.

Bledsoe was highly efficient, though he was perhaps limited (in terms of minutes) due to the five fouls he committed. With that being said, coach Mike Budenholzer has clearly prioritized keeping Bledsoe fresh, as he is averaging 28.5 minutes through 14 games, his lowest share of court time since 2012-13. Regardless, Bledsoe is enjoying one of his most well-rounded campaigns of his career.

  • Bucks' Khris Middleton: Scores 25 points in Wednesday's loss

Middleton totaled 25 points (8-16 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 7-7 FT), five rebounds, and three assists in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 116-113 loss to the Grizzlies.

Middleton continues to excel in his role as the star sidekick to Giannis Antetokounmpo. The 27-year-old wing is among the most versatile statistical contributors in the league, a reliable source of scoring, boards, dimes, threes, and steals. While his three-point shooting percentage has come back down to earth here in November after canning an unsustainable 4.0 threes per game on 54.9 percent in October, Middleton's early-season dominance is, overall, no flash in the pan.

  • Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo: Scores 31 points in Wednesday's loss

Antetokounmpo had 31 points (10-14 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 11-12 FT), nine rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and one steal in 35 minutes during Wednesday's 116-113 loss to the Grizzlies.

Antetokounmpo was extremely efficient as a scorer, though he did finish with more turnovers (six) than assists. This was the fourth time through 13 appearances that Antetokounmpo has scored 30 points or more. However, he has also committed at least as many turnovers as assists a whopping seven times already. With that being said, Antetokounmpo remains an elite option across all formats, and should be expected to dominate a putrid Bulls defense on Friday.

  • Bucks' Donte DiVincenzo: Will not return Wednesday

DeVincenzo has left Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies with left knee soreness and will not return, Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

DiVincenzo suffered the injury in the first half of Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies. The severity of the injury is unknown at this time, and he should be considered questionable for Friday's game against the Bulls. More information on his status should come out after Wednesday's game, as well as in the lead up to Friday.

  • Bucks' Sterling Brown: Back to G League

Brown was reassigned to the G League and will be in uniform for Wednesday's game against the Mad Ants.

Brown was a key piece in the Bucks' rotation a year ago, but he hasn't been able to crack the regular rotation in 2018-19. The SMU product has been a DNP-CD in four of Milwaukee's last six games.

  • Bucks' Christian Wood: Sent to G League

Wood was assigned to the Wisconsin Herd on Tuesday, Adam Johnson of reports.

Wood has appeared in only three games all year with the Bucks, putting up 2.0 points over 5.0 minutes per contest. He'll be sent to Milwaukee's G-League affiliate, where he'll get more opportunities to see action and develop his game.

  • Bucks' Eric Bledsoe: Has three steals Sunday

Bledsoe totaled 12 points (4-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, three steals, and one block in 30 minutes during Sunday's 121-114 victory over Denver.

Bledsoe continues to trend in the right direction despite scoring just 12 points Sunday. Scoring for this team is quite often shared around but it has been his improved efforts on the defensive end that has buoyed his overall value. He has recorded five steals across his last two games after managing just three in his previous eight games. Defense is where a large portion of his value lies and if he can stay at this level moving forward, owners will be thrilled.

  • Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo: Close to triple-double Sunday

Antetokounmpo totaled 22 points (11-16 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-5 FT), nine rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and one block in 36 minutes during Sunday's 121-114 victory over the Nuggets.

Antetokounmpo was excellent for the Bucks Sunday, coming within inches of recording another triple-double. The numbers were nice here but the 0-of-5 from the charity stripe is a big negative. His free-throws continue to be an issue, especially as he gets to the line with some regularity. His other numbers remain fine and despite the efficiency concerns, he should be a top-eight player moving forward.

  • Bucks' Malcolm Brogdon: Has 20 points Sunday

Brogdon managed 20 points (7-13 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 33 minutes during Sunday's 121-114 victory over Denver.

Don't look now but Brogdon has scored at least 20 points in three consecutive games while also managing to contribute in other areas. Playing as the fourth or fifth option on offense means Brogdon doesn't have the highest ceiling but he certainly has provided some consistency. He has scored in double-figures in all but two games while chipping in with some rebounds and assists. He is a borderline standard league player who will not destroy you in any category.

  • Bucks' Brook Lopez: Drains eight triples Sunday

Lopez finished with 28 points (10-17 FG, 8-13 3Pt), four rebounds, two blocks, one assist, and one steal in 36 minutes during Sunday's 121-114 victory over the Nuggets.

Lopez went off for a season-high 28 points Sunday including a career-best eight three-pointers. That makes 14 triples in his last two games combined as well as five blocks. He is a perfect fit for the Bucks and after somewhat of a slow start, seems to be finding his rhythm offensively. If you having him sitting on your bench, it might be time to get him active.
