Brown was promoted from the Wisconsin Herd to the Bucks on Sunday.
Brown played with the Herd on Saturday and will return with Milwaukee prior to Monday's matchup with Denver. He's unlikely to see much playing time off the bench.... See More ... See Less
Bucks' Christian Wood: Recalled from G League
Wood was promoted to the Bucks from the Wisconsin Herd on Sunday.
Wood was shipped to the G League on Saturday, and after playing one game with the Herd, he'll rejoin the NBA squad. He totaled 12 points, 14 boards and eight assists over 37 minutes in his one game with Milwaukee's G-League affiliate, although he's unlikely to see much run with the Bucks just yet.... See More ... Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo: Double-double in comeback win
Antetokounmpo had 23 points (8-15 FG, 2-4 3PT, 5-9 FT), 13 rebounds and four assists in Friday's win over Chicago.
The Bucks fell behind by as many as 22 points in the first half but roared back to win easily behind another sterling performance from Antetokounmpo. The MVP candidate also chipped in three blocks, and his pair of three-pointers were his first makes from beyond the arc since Nov. 4.... See More ... See Less
Bucks' Eric Bledsoe: Throttles Bulls for 25 points
Bledsoe put up 25 points (10-13 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six assists, four rebounds, three steals and one block across 30 minutes in Friday's 123-104 win over the Bulls.
After a slow start to the campaign, Bledsoe is beginning to pay dividends for those that invested an early-to-mid round pick in the point guard on draft day. A downturn in field-goal percentage and steals were the main culprits behind Bledsoe's underwhelming production through the first 10 games, but he's stepped up the pace in both categories over the last five contests. During that span, Bledsoe is shooting 58.1 percent from the field and is averaging 2.2 steals to go with 18.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.8 treys per game.... See More ... See Less
Bucks' Khris Middleton: Flirts with triple-double
Middleton finished with 25 points (9-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 10 rebounds, eight assists and two steals across 33 minutes in Friday's 123-104 win over the Bulls.
Middleton was part of a balanced Bucks scoring attack that helped Milwaukee roar back from a 22-point deficit and ultimately surge to a runaway victory. The wing has now put up 20 or more points in three straight games while shooting a blistering 58.1 percent from the floor and drilling all 12 of his free-throw attempts. Since that percentage from the floor isn't sustainable, it's fair to expect Middleton's scoring to eventually tail off a bit, but the 27-year-old typically puts up enough output in the rebounds, assists, steals and three-pointers categories to lessen the impact in any decline in his point production.... Bucks' Thon Maker: To see increase in playing time
Maker is set for a larger role with John Henson (wrist) ruled out, Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Maker will slot into Henson's spot off the bench for a significant stretch with Henson set to undergo wrist surgery. Maker has appeared in six games this season and is averaging 5.5 points along with 3.2 rebounds per contest.... See More ... See Less
Bucks' Trevon Duval: Showing three-point touch in G League
Duval has averaged 14.0 points (on 50 percent shooting from the field), 4.3 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.3 rebounds and 1.3 three-pointers in 24.3 minutes per game through his first four outings with the G League's Wisconsin Herd.
The undrafted rookie out of Duke has shown impressive touch from distance through his initial professional action, knocking down three-point attempts at a 38.5 percent clip. Though he's signed to a two-way contract and could get a look with Bucks at some point this season, Duval is more likely to spend the bulk of the campaign with Wisconsin in order to pick up meaningful playing time.... Bucks' Donte DiVincenzo: Out at least three games
DiVincenzo (knee) will be out for at least the next three games.
The rookie suffered a minor left quadriceps strain during Wednesday's loss against Memphis and, as a result, will have to sit out the next three contests. Afterwards, DiVincenzo will be re-evaluated and a timetable return date will likely be set. Prior to the injury, DiVincenzo was posting decent numbers with 6.4 points and 3.1 rebounds across 14 appearances.... See More ... See Less
Bucks' John Henson: Will undergo wrist surgery
Henson will require wrist surgery and is out for a minimum of 12 weeks, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
It's an unfortunate injury for the former UNC standout who has been transforming his game this year, especially beyond the three-point arc. In his absence, center Thon Maker may see more minutes than usual.... See More ... See Less
Bucks' Sterling Brown: Recalled from G-League
Brown was recalled from the G-League on Thursday.
Brown played for the G-League's Wisconsin Herd during Wednesday's loss to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. He tallied 23 points (9-15 FG, 5-9 3Pt), three steals and one rebound. Brown has struggled to find a role at the NBA level this season, totaling 41 minutes and racking up 15 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and a block with the Bucks.... See More ... See Less
Bucks' Pat Connaughton: Scores season-high 16 points in Wednesday's loss
Connaughton compiled 16 points (6-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one block in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 116-113 loss to the Grizzlies.
Connaughton finished with season highs in scoring, steals, and minutes while sinking at least two treys for the fifth time in the last nine games. Donte DiVincenzo (knee soreness) leaving the game in the first half likely played a part in Connaughton earning that season high minute total, but he made the most of his opportunity, and could be a decent cheap option in daily leagues if DiVincenzo misses Friday's matchup with the lowly Bulls.... Bucks' Eric Bledsoe: Well-rounded line in Wednesday's loss
Bledsoe contributed 15 points (6-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), seven assists, six rebounds, and two steals in 30 minutes during Wednesday's 116-113 loss to the Grizzlies.
Bledsoe was highly efficient, though he was perhaps limited (in terms of minutes) due to the five fouls he committed. With that being said, coach Mike Budenholzer has clearly prioritized keeping Bledsoe fresh, as he is averaging 28.5 minutes through 14 games, his lowest share of court time since 2012-13. Regardless, Bledsoe is enjoying one of his most well-rounded campaigns of his career.... See More ... See Less
Bucks' Khris Middleton: Scores 25 points in Wednesday's loss
Middleton totaled 25 points (8-16 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 7-7 FT), five rebounds, and three assists in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 116-113 loss to the Grizzlies.
Middleton continues to excel in his role as the star sidekick to Giannis Antetokounmpo. The 27-year-old wing is among the most versatile statistical contributors in the league, a reliable source of scoring, boards, dimes, threes, and steals. While his three-point shooting percentage has come back down to earth here in November after canning an unsustainable 4.0 threes per game on 54.9 percent in October, Middleton's early-season dominance is, overall, no flash in the pan.... Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo: Scores 31 points in Wednesday's loss
Antetokounmpo had 31 points (10-14 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 11-12 FT), nine rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and one steal in 35 minutes during Wednesday's 116-113 loss to the Grizzlies.
Antetokounmpo was extremely efficient as a scorer, though he did finish with more turnovers (six) than assists. This was the fourth time through 13 appearances that Antetokounmpo has scored 30 points or more. However, he has also committed at least as many turnovers as assists a whopping seven times already. With that being said, Antetokounmpo remains an elite option across all formats, and should be expected to dominate a putrid Bulls defense on Friday.... See More ... See Less
