  • Timberwolves' Jeff Teague: Goes through shootaround

Teague (knee) went through shootaround Monday morning, reports.

Teague has been shelved for the last seven games with a bruised knee, but he was a full participant in shootaround Monday morning, leaving open the possibility that he could return to action later in the day against the Nets. Considering Teague was listed as "out" on the Wolves' initial injury report, it seems rather unlikely that he'll play Monday, but at the very least it appears he's nearing a return. If Teague is ultimately held out, his next chance to play would come Wednesday against New Orleans.

  • Timberwolves' Andrew Wiggins: Will be game-time call

Wiggins (quad) went through shootaround and will be a game-time call for Monday's matchup with the Nets, Kent Youngblood of the Star Tribune reports.

Wiggins missed Saturday's game with a bruised quad, but his participation in shootaround is a positive sign. Youngblood notes that Wiggins is "most likely" to play Monday night, but a final call likely won't come until close to tip-off. If he does play, Wiggins would likely be set for a heavy workload, assuming Robert Covington and Dario Saric are unavailable.

  • Timberwolves' Andrew Wiggins: Questionable for Monday

Wiggins (quad) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Nets.

Wiggins was a late scratch for Friday's game against the Kings. If Wiggins is unable to go, Josh Okogie could see another start. More information on Wiggins' status should come out after Monday's morning shootaround.

  • Timberwolves' Jeff Teague: Ruled out Monday

Teague (knee) will not play in Monday's game against the Nets.

Teague will miss his seventh consecutive game as he continues to deal with a knee injury. Derrick Rose will likely continue to start in his place. Teague's next opportunity to play will be Wednesday against the Pelicans, and he should be considered questionable for that contest.

  • Timberwolves' Keita Bates-Diop: Recalled from Iowa

Bates-Diop was recalled from the G League on Sunday.

The rookie played in one game on this latest assignment, finishing with 20 points and 10 rebounds in 39 minutes in a loss to Santa Cruz.

  • Timberwolves' Keita Bates-Diop: Assigned to G-League

Bates-Dip was assigned to the G-League on Saturday.

Bates-Diop has played just 18 minutes for the Timberwolves, totaling four points and three rebounds, plus a block. Being sent down to the G-League should give him an opportunity for some more minutes.

  • Timberwolves' Jerryd Bayless: Headed to Minnesota

Bayless was traded to the Timberwolves on Saturday along with Robert Covington, Dario Saric, and a future second-round pick for Jimmy Butler and Justin Patton, Zach Lowe of reports.

The Butler sweepstakes has come to a surprising end, as the 76ers were never seriously thought to be a contender. Bayless was likely included in the deal for salary purposes. He is currently dealing with a knee sprain, but should be nearing a return. He will most likely not crack the rotation in Minnesota, as Jeff Teague (knee), Derrick Rose, and Tyus Jones will all be ahead of him on the depth chart.

  • Timberwolves' Derrick Rose: Delivers full line over 34 minutes

Rose had 21 points (7-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, five assists, and one steal in 34 minutes during Friday's 121-110 loss to the Kings.

Rose was impressive again for the lackluster Timberwolves, scoring at least 21 points for the third consecutive game. Across that period he has also added a combined 11 three-pointers to go with 14 assists. He offers basically nothing on the defensive end of the floor but can be forgiven for that, given his recent form. If he is on your roster, you likely got him from waivers. That in itself is a win for you and your team.

  • Timberwolves' Jimmy Butler: Inefficient outing Friday

Butler managed just 13 points (3-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 7-10 FT), eight rebounds, eight assists, and two steals in 41 minutes during Friday's 121-110 loss to Sacramento.

Butler's loose limit of 32 minutes was once again proven to be incorrect as he played 41 minutes, producing just 13 points on 3-of-12 shooting. His availability from game-to-game remains a mystery and until his trade demands are met, the uncertainty looks set to continue. Those with Butler on their roster simply need to hope he doesn't miss too many games or gets traded sooner rather than later.

  • Timberwolves' Karl-Anthony Towns: Explodes for 39 points in loss Friday

Towns finished with 39 points (15-27 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 7-7 FT), 19 rebounds, one assist, and one block in 39 minutes during Friday's 121-110 loss to the Kings.

Towns went off for a season-high 39 points and 19 rebounds Friday but was unable to assist the team in avoiding their ninth loss of the season. Despite the loss, there were a lot of positive to take out of the game for Towns. He appeared far more aggressive on the offensive end whilst also crashing the board with ferocity. The Jimmy Butler saga continues to roll on with no immediate end in sight. Hopefully, for Towns, this is the start of a turnaround, not only for him but for the team who is quickly falling out of the race for the playoffs.
