  • Thunder's Alex Abrines: Doesn't practice Friday

Abrines (illness) didn't practice Friday but will travel with the team over the Thunder's three-game road trip, Brett Dawson of The Athletic reports.

Abrines left Wednesday's game early due to an illness and was absent at practice Friday. However, the native of Spain will be traveling with the Thunder starting Saturday in Phoenix and may end up giving it a go.

  • Thunder's Russell Westbrook: Participates in practice Friday

Westbrook (ankle) participated in practice Friday including part of contact portions, Brett Dawson of The Athletic reports.

Westbrook has not played in a game since scoring 17 points on Nov. 5 due to a lingering left ankle sprain but remains optimistic about a possible return against Phoenix on Saturday. The former UCLA guard currently doesn't have a definitive injury designation for Saturday yet. Teammate Dennis Schroder will likely continue to start as long as Westbrook remains sidelined.

  • Thunder's Dennis Schroder: Posts double-double in 30 minutes

Schroder scored 15 points (5-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), collected four rebounds, handed out 12 assists, snatched two steals, and recorded one block in 30 minutes Wednesday as the Thunder topped the Knicks.

Schroder's role altered significantly when Russell Westbrook (ankle) went down, and he has filled those shoes admirably. It's not expected that Westbrook will be out for much longer, but the past five games have made it clear that Schroder will be a valuable fantasy asset for the duration of the 2018-19 season, even in the role of sixth-man.

  • Thunder's Steven Adams: Scores 19 points in 30 minutes

Adams registered 19 points (9-13 FG, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, five assists, two steals, and one block in 30 minutes Wednesday as the Thunder took a win over the Knicks.

Adams has proven himself to be immensely valuable in fantasy considering his consistently low usage rate. Going into Wednesday's matchup it had only eclipsed 20-percent on one occasion during the 2018-19 season. The 25-year-old big man does a little bit of everything and a lot of some things for the Thunder. He doesn't stretch the floor at all, but his mobility, ability to work as the roll-man in the two-man game, and his effectiveness from the short-mid range make him immensely valuable for both the Thunder and fantasy owners.

  • Thunder's Paul George: Pours in 35 points in 29 minutes

George accounted for 35 points (13-22 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, five assists, two steals, and one block in 29 minutes Wednesday as the Thunder topped the Knicks.

George eclipsed the 30-point threshold for the second straight night Wednesday and did so with a similarly efficient performance whilst carrying the load for a Westbrook-less Thunder squad. No matter, George is no stranger to being the undisputed top option. The Thunder got off to a rocky start but they soon found their groove and have been able to maintain it with Westbrook (ankle) sidelined. The 2018-19 season is shaping up to be the most complete for the veteran wing, and those who own fantasy stock in George should be feeling good about the recent upward trend.

  • Thunder's Alex Abrines: Will not return Wednesday

Abrines left Wednesday's game against the Knicks early with an illness and will not return, Brett Dawson of The Athletic reports.

There was no mention of the illness coming into the game, and the severity of the illness is unknown at this time. The Thunder's next game is Saturday against the Suns, and he should be considered questionable for that game at this time. Prior to exiting, Abrines played seven minutes.

  • Thunder's Russell Westbrook: Remains out vs. Knicks

Westbrook has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Knicks, Brett Dawson of The Athletic reports.

Westbrook had already been ruled out for Wednesday's game, but there was then some hope regarding his status after he participated in morning shootaround. Further evaluations, however, led to Westbrook remaining out for the fourth straight contest. Dennis Schroeder will continue to start in his place, but it looks like the All-Star point guard could be close to making his return.

  • Thunder's Russell Westbrook: Goes through morning shootaround

Westbrook (ankle) participated in Wednesday's morning shootaround, Brett Dawson of The Athletic reports.

Westbrook had previously been ruled out of Wednesday's contest against the Knicks. But in addition to Westbrook going through shootaround, Paul George referenced Westbrook being "back", implying Westbrook could see the floor. The point guard is set to be evaluated at some point Wednesday, at which time we could learn more about his immediate status.

  • Thunder's Russell Westbrook: Ruled out vs. Knicks

Westbrook (ankle) won't be available for Wednesday's game against New York, Marc Berman of the New York Post reports.

Westbrook's status was up in the air following a light practice Tuesday, although it appears the Thunder will elect to play it safe with their superstar. He's set to miss his fifth consecutive contest since spraining his left ankle but could certainly make a return Saturday in Phoenix if he manages to ramp up his activity in practice over the next few days.

  • Thunder's Russell Westbrook: Questionable for Wednesday

Westbrook (ankle) is considered questionable to play Wednesday against the Knicks, Brett Dawson of The Athletic reports.

Coach Billy Donovan said Westbrook is doing "more and more each day," but the Thunder went through a light practice Tuesday, so it's difficult to gauge whether Westbrook is truly ready to make his return to action Wednesday. The former MVP has missed the last four games, and if he's ultimately held out Wednesday, his next chance to play would come Saturday in Phoenix following two off days.

  • Thunder's Dennis Schroder: Closes on double-double Monday

Schroder had 20 points (6-19 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), nine assists, five rebounds, and four steals in 35 minutes during Monday's 118-101 victory over Phoenix.

Schroder continues to start for the injured Russell Westbrook (ankle), having another strong outing Monday. The nine assists were a season-high, as were the four steals. His value is likely not going to get any higher than this and an opportunity to sell high exists in many cases. That being said, even upon Westbrook's return, Schroder has likely played himself into a sizeable role and should still be rostered in standard leagues moving forward.

  • Thunder's Steven Adams: Solid contributions Monday

Adams totaled 18 points (9-13 FG), seven rebounds, four steals, two blocks, and one assist in 33 minutes during Monday's 118-101 victory over the Suns.

Adams had his way inside the pain Monday, going 9-of-13 from the field on his way to 18 points. He also chipped in with a combined six steals and blocks, continuing his strong start to the season. Adams is very important to the Thunder and an injury is really the only thing that will stop him from seeing minutes in the 30's on a regular basis. Aside from the free-throw issues, Adams produces across the board and needs to be rostered everywhere.
