Magic's Jonathan Isaac: Plays 16 minutes off bench
Isaac played 16 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's win over the Sixers.
Making his return from a six-game absence due to an ankle injury, Isaac was restricted to 16 minutes of action, but his workload figures to increase over the next few games. Isaac finished with four points (1-3 FG, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and one block.... See More ... See Less
Magic's Nikola Vucevic: Pours in game-high 30 in win over Sixers
Vucevic scored 30 points (10-19 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 7-8 FT) while adding eight rebounds, four assists and two steals in 39 minutes during Wednesday's 111-106 win over the 76ers.
On a night when all eyes were on Jimmy Butler making his Philly debut, it was Vucevic who shone the brightest, as he set a season high in points while holding Joel Embiid to just 6-for-20 shooting from the floor. Vucevic is on pace for a career year so far, contributing strong numbers across the board including personal bests in assists (3.5 per game) and field-goal shooting (53.8 percent).... See More ... Magic's Jonathan Isaac: Restriction in place Wednesday
Though Isaac (ankle) will be available to play Wednesday against the 76ers, coach Steve Clifford said a minutes restriction will be in place for the forward, John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com reports. Isaac is likely to work in a reserve role in his return from a six-game absence, per Denton.
Clifford didn't offer a specific number for Isaac's projected minutes, but it makes sense for the Magic to ease the 21-year-old back in the fold after he missed about two weeks with the sprained right ankle and was nagged by lower-body issues throughout his rookie campaign. Wesley Iwundu had been filling in as the starting small forward while Isaac was sidelined, but it was Terrence Ross who mainly took advantage of the rangy forward's absence, averaging 17.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 three-pointers and 2.2 assists in 27.7 minutes per contest off the bench during the six-game stretch. Both Ross and Iwundu should see their values take a hit once Isaac is free of restrictions, which could come as soon as the Magic's subsequent game Saturday against the Lakers.... See More ... Magic's Jonathan Isaac: Making return Wednesday
Isaac (ankle) has been cleared to play in Wednesday's game against the 76ers, John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com reports.
Listed as questionable heading into the day after missing the Magic's past six games with a sprained right ankle, Isaac will be available to suit up after making it through the morning shootaround without incident. It's not known if Isaac will have any restrictions with his minutes or immediately recapture his starting role at forward, so the 21-year-old doesn't make for the most appealing option in DFS contests coming off the injury. Assuming he makes it through Wednesday's contest without any setbacks during his time on the court, Isaac should settle back into a nightly 25-to-30-minute role.... See More ... See Less
Magic's Jonathan Isaac: Listed as questionable for Wednesday
Isaac (ankle) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the 76ers, John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com reports.
Isaac has missed the last six games with a sprained right ankle, but he's been upgraded to questionable for Wednesday's contest after completing an on-court workout -- which included testing his ankle with jumping and cutting -- with no issues Monday. Look for his status to clear up closer to tip-off.... See More ... See Less
Magic's Terrence Ross: Scores team-high 21 off bench
Ross scored 21 points (7-14 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT) while adding three rebounds, two assists and a block in 25 minutes off the bench during Monday's 117-109 loss to the Wizards.
The streaky shooter is dialed in at the moment, leading Orlando in scoring in consecutive games while hitting for double-digit points in six straight. Ross is averaging 17.0 points, 3.3 boards, 3.0 three-pointers and 2.2 assists over that six-game stretch, converting 47.4 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc, but the 27-year-old's track record suggests he could go ice cold at any moment.... Magic's Evan Fournier: Scores 20 in loss to Wizards
Fournier scored 20 points (7-14 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT) while adding five assists, two rebounds and a steal in 29 minutes during Monday's 117-109 loss to the Wizards.
The five dimes were a team high, while Fournier struck for 20-plus points for the third time this season. The 26-year-old guard has once again provided some steady complementary scoring for Orlando -- he's failed to score in double digits just once in 14 games, and he still dropped nine points in that one -- and his 4.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game would be career highs if he can keep up that pace.... Magic's Nikola Vucevic: Third straight double-double
Vucevic scored 17 points (8-17 FG, 1-3 3Pt) while adding 11 rebounds, three assists and a steal in 32 minutes during Monday's 117-109 loss to the Wizards.
The 28-year-old recorded his third straight double-double, and ninth in 14 games, in the losing effort. Vucevic has been a rock for the Magic so far, scoring in double digits while grabbing at least eight boards in every game, and he's just a couple of made three-pointers away from averaging at least one steal, one block and one three a night as well.... Magic's Aaron Gordon: Double-double in loss to Wizards
Gordon scored 18 points (8-13 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks in 33 minutes during Monday's 117-109 loss to the Wizards.
He returned from a one-game absence due to a minor ankle injury looking none the worse for wear, recording his fifth double-double of the season. Gordon's taking fewer shots so far this season, resulting in a slight downturn in his scoring average, but he's also on pace for a career-high 8.2 boards to help make up for it.... See More ... Magic's Jonathan Isaac: Goes through on-court workout
Isaac (ankle) went through an on-court workout Monday afternoon, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Isaac will miss a sixth straight game Monday as he nurses an ankle injury, but he told reporters he had a productive workout that included testing his ankle with jumping and cutting. The second-year forward is without a firm timetable, but the Magic will likely exercise caution after Isaac missed the bulk of his rookie season with ankle complications.... See More ... See Less
Magic's Jarell Martin: Back to bench Monday
Martin will come off the bench Monday against the Wizards.
Martin entered the starting five Sunday with Aaron Gordon sidelined and finished with seven points and six boards in 27 minutes of action. Gordon is back healthy Monday, so Martin will return to his usual role as off the bench, where he's highly unlikely to be fantasy-relevant.... See More ... See Less

Gordon (ankle) has been cleared to start Monday's game in Washington.
Gordon missed the team's last game with an ankle injury and was initially listed as questionable Monday, but he went through a pregame evaluation and has been cleared to return. Magic's Timofey Mozgov: Ruled out Monday
Mozgov (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Wizards, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.

Magic's Jonathan Isaac: Remains out Monday
Isaac (ankle) is unavailable for Monday's game against the Wizards, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
Isaac is set to miss a sixth straight game as he continues to deal with a sprained right ankle. The good news is the big man has been able to do some shooting and conditioning work recently, so he appears to be trending in the right direction. His next chance to play will come Wednesday against the 76ers.... See More ... See Less
Magic's Aaron Gordon: Listed as questionable Monday
Gordon (ankle) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Wizards, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
Gordon is in jeopardy of missing a second consecutive game as he continues to nurse an ankle injury that he picked up in Friday's win over Washington. The Magic will likely wait until closer to game-time to determine his status. If Gordon is unable to play again, look for Jonathon Simmons, Wesley Iwundu and Jarell Martin to benefit from some extra run.... See More ... See Less
