Nets' Yuta Watanabe: Sports hot shooting night from long range in SL loss
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Watanabe posted 14 points (5-11 FG, 4-6 3Pt), four rebounds, two blocked shots and an assist across 26 minutes in Monday's 78-69 loss to the Timberwolves in a Vegas Summer League contest.

Watanabe literally came out of nowhere to post an excellent stat line in a losing effort. Despite an impressive career at George Washington, he went undrafted and is attempting to make an impact in the Summer League. While he wasn't expected to garner a training camp invite, he drains threes on the regular and his 6-9 frame is an interesting combination for the Nets to consider.

Nets' Kamari Murphy: Grabs 10 boards off the bench in SL loss
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Murphy tallied eight points (3-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot across 21 minutes in Monday's 78-69 loss to the Timberwolves in a Vegas Summer League contest.

Murphy is no stranger to followers of the Nets' G-League squad in Long Island as he was arguably the most productive player on the team. His invitation to the Summer League was no big surprise, but his prospects as an impact player are minimal.

Nets' Jarrett Allen: Flirts with double-double in first Summer League action
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Allen posted 8 points (3-6 FG, 2-2 FT), 12 rebounds and five blocked shots across 26 minutes in Monday's 78-69 loss to the Timberwolves in a Vegas Summer League contest.

Allen finally saw action after being held out of the first two games in Las Vegas, The 20-year-old is poised to play a key role in Brooklyn's 2018-19 campaign after a promising rookie season. If he continues to play he'll likely continue to put up good numbers, but it wouldn't be surprising to see the Nets sit their valuable youngster to avoid injury.

Nets' Shawn Dawson: Provides 14 points off the bench in loss
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Dawson posted 14 points (5-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists and a steal across 21 minutes in Monday's 78-69 loss to the Timberwolves in a Vegas Summer League contest.

While the Summer League is usually populated by rookies and second-year players, Dawson is unique in that he has spent the past two years playing overseas after being waived by the Pelicans in 2016. The odds are definitely against him, but he followed up a 20-point performance last Friday with another decent showing. He'll likely have to do a bit more to even make the Nets' G-League roster.

Nets' Juan Pablo Vaulet: Out again Monday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Vaulet (foot) is expected to remain out for Monday's summer league matchup with the Timberwolves, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.

Vaulet suffered a foot injury during a practice prior to the start of Las Vegas Summer League, which has now forced him to miss three straight games. When, or if, Vaulet will be cleared at some point later this week is still uncertain, which is a tough blow for a player trying to earn a training camp invite. Vaulet played for Weber Bahia Estudiantes of the Argentinian Liga A league last season.
