Raptors' Fred VanVleet: Ruled out Wednesday vs. Detroit
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

VanVleet (knee) will not play during Wednesday's contest against the Pistons.

VanVleet bruised his right knee during Monday's game and, though not serious, it's enough to keep him from lacing up Wednesday. In his absence, Delon Wright will likely see more reserve point guard minutes behind starter Kyle Lowry.

Raptors' Fred VanVleet: Likely out Wednesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

VanVleet (knee) is considered questionable to play Wednesday against the Pistons, though coach Dwane Casey intimated that the backup point guard is unlikely to be available, Raptors play-by-play voice Eric Smith reports.

VanVleet sustained a contusion to his right knee during Monday's game, and while the issue is nothing serious, it looks as though it'll cost the Wichita State product at least one game. Check back closer to game-time for something more definitive, but if VanVleet is, indeed, held out, Delon Wright would pick up increased minutes off the bench behind Kyle Lowry.

Raptors' Fred VanVleet: No structural damage in knee
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

VanVleet, who suffered a bruised knee during Monday's game against the 76ers, underwent additional testing that revealed no structural damage, Eric Koreen of The Athletic Toronto reports. He should be considered questionable for Wednesday's game against the Pistons.

VanVleet has been a staple of the Raptors' rotation, playing reserve point guard to Kyle Lowry and averaging 6.9 points and 2.8 assists across 18.1 minutes per game. If he's sidelined Wednesday, Delon Wright and Lorenzo Brown would seemingly pick up some extra run in the backcourt. More word on VanVleet's status should arrive following morning shootaround.

Raptors' Delon Wright: Leads bench with 20 points
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Wright scored 20 points (7-11 FG, 5-6 3PT, 1-2 FT) to go with four rebounds, one assist and one steal in 20 minutes during Monday's 117-11 loss to Philadelphia.

Returning to the bench, Wright responded with a season-high five three-pointers to lead all Toronto reserves with 20 points. In three starts in place of Kyle Lowry, the guard was serviceable to the tune of 7.6 points while sinking 36.3 percent of his 7.3 shots per game. On Monday, Wright exceeded beyond his 8.7 points per game average with his second 20-plus point game of the season. However, his value as a scorer is minimal, especially when you consider that this was only the fifth game in which Wright made more than one three-pointer.

Raptors' DeMar DeRozan: Scores team-high 24 points
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

DeRozan scored 24 points (8-18, 0-4 3PT, 8-9 FT) to go with one rebound, five assists and two steals in 35 minutes during Monday's 117-111 loss to Philadelphia.

After averaging 34.6 points in his previous three games against Philadelphia, DeRozan was kept in check in the final regular season meeting between the two teams. Mainly, the guard was stifled from beyond the arc, shooting 0-of-4 from three. DeRozan has improved his three-point game to the level of a career-best 36.6 percent for the season. However, DeRozan was ice cold from long range on Monday.
