Notes, Quotes · Offensive surge fuels Rockets' rise · Roster Report

--G Kevin Martin got off to a rocky start, making just one of his first five shots before an alley-oop slam got him going. After that, he scored with relative ease. He never got on a hot-shooting roll, but he still scored 20 points in 31 minutes, leading the Rockets in scoring for an eighth consecutive game.

--G Kyle Lowry was questionable with a sore left foot and was unsure if he would play even in the hours before tip. Once the game began, however, he removed any concern, scoring 14 of his 16 points in the first quarter. He played just 29 minutes, taking the entire fourth quarter off, but still wound up with 10 assists and seven rebounds.

--G Goran Dragic, picking up extra minutes with Kyle Lowry resting his sore left foot, had one of his best scoring games since joining the Rockets, getting 13 points in 19 minutes. He made five of six shots to outscore his Slovenian rival, Sasha Vujacic.

--C Yao Ming (stress fracture, left ankle) is out for the season.

--G Kyle Lowry (sprained left ankle) played Tuesday, and he is probable for Wednesday's game.
