12/21/2011 - Scouting the TCU pass defense: Louisiana Tech's passing attack hasn't exactly been the same type of vertical passing game that hurt the Horned Frogs at Baylor on Sept. 2 or against SMU on Oct. 1. TCU's secondary hasn't been at its best this season, at least not when compared to recent seasons, but it has been much better down the stretch of the season. The Horned Frogs allowed more than 220 passing yards per game this season, which was better only than New Mexico (1-11) and UNLV (2-10) in the Mountain West Conference. The best weapon for TCU's pass defense, as it always has been, is the pressure head coach Gary Patterson's defensive scheme always seems to be able to generate up from with a four-man front and very little linebacker blitzing. - The Sports Xchange

09/09/2011 - PLAYERS TO WATCH: CBs Greg McCoy and Jason Verrett - Throw in CBs Travaras Battle and Kevin White in the mix for good measure. It didn't matter who was on the filed last week at Baylor, the CBs of TCU were getting torched and if they get torched again against the option-based offense of Air Force, then TCU is really in trouble this season. Air Force won't test the team like Baylor did, but veteran Air Force head coach Troy Calhoun and veteran QB Tim Jefferson are both far too smart not to know a weakness when they see one. They'll test the TCU corners some this week. - The Sports Xchange

Hailing from Dallas, Texas, McCoy helped TCU establish field position from the start of the game, returning his first two kickoffs for 73 and 68 yards, respectively. Both returns set up Horned Frog scores. In total, McCoy averaged 38.2 yards on six kick returns against the Bears. - Mountain West football
