03/29/2013 - 2013 USC Pro Day: It was a similarly disappointing day for USC center Khaled Holmes, who cited a strained pectoral at the combine as the reason why he was unable to lift Wednesday. Holmes characterized the injury as "not serious" but said he had no plans at this time to lift for scouts before the draft. He did say that he had a number of private workouts lined up in the coming weeks, including a workout on campus Friday with the Philadelphia Eagles. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com

02/22/2013 - USC center Khaled Holmes may not be able to work out at the NFL combine on Saturday after straining his pec during the bench press, according to CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora. During the bench press, players are asked to do as many 225-pound reps as possible without stopping. South Carolina center T.J. Johnson did 32 reps on Friday, which was the most among centers. If Holmes can't participate on Saturday, he'll miss the offensive linemen's day for field drills and positional workouts. The Trojan center is currently ranked 130th overall in CBSSports.com's NFL Draft rankings and is projected to be taken in the fourth round. - John Breech, CBSSports.com

09/23/2012 - C Khaled Holmes returned to the starting lineup Saturday after missing the game at Stanford on Sept. 15 because of an ankle injury. His absence was a key factor in the Cardinal being able to control the line of scrimmage.

09/16/2012 - C Khaled Holmes suffered a right ankle injury at Syracuse on Sept. 8 and did not play at Stanford, although he did go through warmups. USC hopes his absence won't continue to this week's game vs. Cal.

09/15/2012 - C Khaled Holmes suffered a lower-leg injury last week at Syracuse, but his status was not known early this week. His backup, Abe Markowitz, also is ailing with a reported arm injury. Redshirt freshman Cyrus Hobbi could be in line to start, or USC could move over starting OG John Martinez. - The Sports Xchange

09/09/2012 - C Khaled Holmes was carted off the field late in the Syracuse game with a lower leg injury. He was later on crutches, and the initial reports were that he could miss several weeks. That would be a significant loss for USC, whose options include elevating redshirt freshman Cyrus Hobbi on the depth chart or perhaps moving right guard John Martinez to the middle.

07/26/2012 - Top-five USC prospects for the 2013 NFL Draft: 4. OC Khaled Holmes...After sending four interior linemen to the NFL via the draft from 2006-08, the Trojans have been shut out at the position in the four drafts since. Holmes, NFLDraftScout.com's top-rated center for the 2013 draft, will end that string in April. In his first starting season (2010), Holmes earned honorable mention all-conference at right guard, starting all 13 games. He made the move to center last year, playing surprisingly well at the position despite his inexperience and earning Second Team All-Pac-12 accolades. The wide-bodied Holmes projects nicely at any of the three interior positions in the NFL. He's quick off the snap, demonstrating the burst and agility to handle combo blocking, though he can be beaten to the point when asked to pull. He is powerful at the point of attack, showing good upper and lower body strength to get push in short yardage situations, making him an ideal candidate for a power-based scheme. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com
