03/28/2013 - 2013 Georgia Pro Day: Representatives from all 32 NFL teams gathered at Georgia's pro day on Thursday for a workout held outdoors on FieldTurf in approximately 40-degree temperatures. Marlon Brown, WR (6-foot-4, 217 pounds) - Brown was only measured and stood on his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine, with the exception of the bench press (10 lifts of 225 pounds). - Gil Brandt, NFL.com

09/11/2012 - WR Marlon Brown, returning from a hamstring injury that sidelined him last week, finished with eight catches for 106 yards and two TDs vs. Missouri. Brown admitted that Missouri defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson saying that Georgia played "old man football" fired players up. "It definitely made us mad," Brown said. "But we just took it as something to give us a little fire under our butts, and we just outlasted them at the end." - The Sports Xchange

09/10/2012 - WEEK 2 OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE: SE MARLON BROWN (Georgia) -- Hauled in a career-high eight catches for 106 yards and two touchdowns in Georgia's 41-20 win at Missouri. - SEC football

08/10/2012 - KEYS TO SUCCESS: Georgia needs to continue to get big plays from its defense while quarterback Aaron Murray adapts to some new skill position players on offense. The Bulldogs were plus-seven in turnover margin last season (32 forced, 25 given up) a marked improvement compared to previous seasons. With Malcolm Mitchell likely starting the season strictly on defense, receivers Marlon Brown, Chris Conley and Michael Bennett will have to step up to provide support in the passing game for senior WR Tavarres King. - The Sports Xchange

08/09/2012 - Marlon Brown didn't like how his day began in Georgia's first preseason scrimmage on Wednesday. "I had a ball across the middle at the beginning of the scrimmage that I dropped," Brown said of a would-be touchdown catch that coach Mark Richt described as hitting the receiver in the nose. "I was kind of mad at myself for that. After that, I was like `I'm going to catch every ball and make something big happen, try to redeem myself."' The senior led all receivers in Sanford Stadium with six catches for 103 yards and two touchdowns. "He had the most opportunities, the most balls thrown at him and he took advantage of it," Richt said. Brown, the senior from Memphis, has been "hot this whole camp," according to Richt. Richt said he remembered Brown having a strong preseason last year, too, but a high ankle sprain kept him from having the season he wanted last year when he had 15 catches for 234 yards. "We're all just praying that he stays healthy and he does well," Richt said. Brown's big day this time came in August practice but that doesn't mean he wants to save all of his production for the real deal. "It's practice so I feel like just go out there and make plays when the ball comes your way," he said. Brown couldn't remember how long his touchdowns were, but receiver Rantavious Wooten thought one went for at least 30 yards. "It was real fun, but it was real quiet because it was a scrimmage," Brown said. "When the fans get there and the lights come on, I feel like everybody will be ready to make big plays." - Marc Weiszer, The Athens Banner-Herald
