Player News
05/12/2014 - A closer look at the Broncos' picks: Round 3/95 -- Michael Schofield, T, 6-6, 301, Michigan...Twenty-six of Schofield's 36 starts at Michigan came at right tackle, which is where he will start his pro career as a backup to Chris Clark. But he also started 10 games at left guard, where he worked during Senior Bowl week in January, and could be a potential long-term replacement for Orlando Franklin, who is moving inside from right tackle this offseason but has a contract that expires after this season. - The Sports Xchange

04/29/2014 - Five players who should be on Tennessee's draft radar: OT Michael Schofield, Michigan: Tennessee added Michael Oher in free agency to presumably handle the right tackle duties, but offensive line depth is still a question mark. Schofield has double digit starts at both guard and tackle on his Michigan resume and would give the Titans options. He is built well for the edge with good bend and arm length, but his limited quickness and heavy feet cannot be ignored, leading some to believe his best position is inside at guard. Schofield plays like a veteran with the competitive attitude to finish blocks, but he works best in smaller spaces. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com

03/26/2014 - 2014 Pro Days: Trio of Wolverines star at Michigan Pro Day...One final result of note was the improvement shown by Michigan's "other" tackle, Michael Schofield, a Combine invitee who soared a full 15 inches longer during his Pro Day attempt at the broad jump than he did in Indianapolis. Schofield ranked second to last among offensive linemen (ahead of only Baylor's Cyril Richardson) with a 7'8" broad jump at the Combine. On Wednesday, he made it to nine feet, which would have matched two highly athletic tackles in Boise State's Charles Leno, Jr. and North Dakota State's Billy Turner for sixth among the 38 offensive linemen tested in Indianapolis. Lewan led all offensive linemen in this event at the Combine with a broad jump of 9'9". - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com

12/05/2013 - 2013 ALL-BIG TEN HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES): Michael Schofield,...Has been selected All-Big Ten Honorable Mention for the 2013 college football season as voted on by the Big Ten head football coaches. - Michigan football

08/13/2013 - OTHER MICHIGAN PROSPECTS TO WATCH: OT Michael Schofield (6-6, 304, 5.09)...Started 13 games at right tackle in '12. Surprisingly nimble and quick-footed for his size. Not the athlete that Lewan is, but exhibits solid fundamentals in both facets of the offense, and plays with a nasty streak. Could emerge as a top-10 OT in next year's draft with better consistency as a senior. Should not be limited solely to being a right tackle prospect, considering his agility in pass-protection. - Derek Stephens, NFLDraftScout.com
