04/04/2012 - Aston Whiteside and Daryl Richardson - the final two members of the Abilene Christian football team's Vernon connection - participated in the Wildcats' pro day on Tuesday at the Wally Bullington Practice Facility. Both believe they helped their stock in the eyes of NFL scouts in advance of this month's NFL draft. Richardson has been quietly sneaking into pre-draft conversations, which mirrors his three-year career as a Wildcat. Richardson, who finished his career as the second-leading touchdown producer in school history, fourth in points scored and fifth in rushing yards, posted one of the fastest 40-yard dash times of any player eligible for the draft with his time of 4.45 seconds. Richardson also went 11 feet, 3 inches on the standing broad jump, 40?? inches on the vertical leap and did 16 reps off 225 pounds at the bench press. "I think I did OK (today)," Richardson said. "I ran a 4.35 last week during training, so I came in here expecting to go 4.3 seconds so I'm a little bit disappointed in my time." - Abilene Reporter-News

11/02/2011 - OCT 31 LONE STAR OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Daryl Richardson, Abilene Christian University, SR, RB, Jacksonville, Fla., Sandalwood HS, ran for a career-high 170 yards and scored two touchdowns in Saturday's 40-28 win over Texas A&M-Commerce. ... Richardson scored on a career-long 78-yard touchdown run on his first carry of the day to give ACU a quick 7-0 lead. ... On his fifth carry of the day, Richardson scored from 46 yards out to give the Wildcats a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. ...
