03/17/2013 - 2013 Nevada Pro Day: Khalid Wooten, CB (5-11 1/2, 206) - Wooten ran the 40 in 4.47 and 4.49 seconds, and had a 4.25-second short shuttle time. He also looked good in the positional drills. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com

12/15/2012 - SCOUTING THE SPECIAL TEAMS: The best word to describe this unit is "average." Nothing really stands out, good or bad. The good: Kicker Allen Hardison made 7 of 8 field goals, punter Chase Tenpenny averaged 42.9 yards per punt and punt returner Khalid Wooten averaged 16.4 yards per return. But the kickoff and punt coverages were subpar and Nevada rarely got a big play from the kick return team. - The Sports Xchange

12/15/2012 - SCOUTING THE PASS DEFENSE: The Wolf Pack suffered some injuries in the secondary and it showed early in the season. The secondary allowed double-digit, fourth-quarter leads to turn into losses against South Florida and San Diego State and was below average all season. Nevada ranked 60th in pass efficiency defense but had just four interceptions (tied for the fourth-worst mark in the nation). As usual, the Wolf Pack did a good job of holding the oppositions' completion percentage down foes hit on just 55.5 percent of their attempts but they also allowed a lot of game-changing plays. - The Sports Xchange

12/14/2012 - 2012 ALL-MOUNTAIN WEST SECOND-TEAM (COACHES & MEDIA): PR/KR Khalid Wooten, Sr., Nevada, has been selected Second Team All-Mountain West Conference (Coaches & Media selection) for the 2012 college football season. - Nevada football
