Player News
05/05/2015 - A closer look at the Titans' nine picks: Round 4/108 -- Jalston Fowler, FB, 5-11, 254, Alabama...A curious pick, given that the fullback position has been phased into the background in the NFL these days. But Fowler can carry the football as a big back if need be, and also can line up as a tight end and catch the football. With versatility being a buzzword, Fowler has a role, but it's still surprising that he went in round four. - The Sports Xchange

01/25/2015 - 2015 Senior Bowl: 10 prospects who helped themselves: FB Jalston Fowler, Alabama (5-10, 264)...Although he's tagged with the fullback label, Fowler showed that he's much more than that. With only 12 carries as a senior for the Crimson Tide, he was an afterthought on that offense, but after seeing him during Senior Bowl practices, it was clear he was also underutilized. During drills, Fowler was quick through the hole with decisive quickness and the pop to brush off contact, keeping his feet and rumbling to the second level. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com

08/13/2014 - Other Alabama prospects worth watching: FB Jalston Fowler, RS Senior...Fowler signed with Alabama as a running back and has also seen time at H-back. New offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin is expected to use Fowler as a more traditional fullback in 2014 and it is a role that suits the bruiser well. Fowler showed no loss of quickness and power a season ago after missing much of 2012 with a torn ACL. Five of Fowler's seven receptions a year ago went for touchdowns. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com
