Second-team All-SEC selection by the league's coaches and the Associated Press.Earned NCAA national special teams player of the week honors for his 108-yard return of a missed field goal to propel Auburn to an upset over two-time defending national champion Alabama, 34-28. Davis caught the ball about 9 yards deep in the end zone after freshman Adam Griffith's 57-yard attempt fell short. He then sprinted down the left sideline and cut back with nothing but teammates around him in a second straight hard-to-fathom finish for the Tigers. It is the third time in NCAA history that a missed field goal was returned for 100 yards and the first time since 1968 (Clemson vs. Georgia - Richie Luzzi for Clemson). The only other time was 1966 (California vs. Washington State - Don Guest for California.He also registered 10 tackles in the victory.
