2011 Season
Burris picked up his second consecutive first-team all-Mountain West selection, the first San Diego State linebacker to accomplish the feat since All-American Kirk Morrison did so from 2002-04. The senior leads the Aztecs in tackles (72), tackles for loss (19.0), sacks (8.0) and fumble recoveries (3). He ranks eighth in the country in tackles for a loss (1.58/g), tied for 19th in fumble recoveries (0.25/g) and tied for 32nd in sacks (0.67/g). Burris has at least 0.5 tackles for a loss in 18 of the past 19 games.
2010 Season
The first-team All-Mountain West selection and team co-defensive MVP (with lineman Ernie Lawson) started all 13 games for the Aztecs, leading the team with 80 tackles, 20 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks. He also forced four fumbles on the year. Named the league's defensive player of the week on Nov. 8, after he had 10 stops, including four for a loss, two sacks and a pair of forced fumbles in a victory over Colorado State.
2009 Season
Was SDSU's second-leading tackler with a career-high 58 stops ... Third on the team in tackles for loss with 6.0 ... Played and started all 12 contests ... Accounted for four solo tackles, including one for a loss of a yard vs. UCLA ... Five stops, two TFLs and his first career sack against Southern Utah ... Four tackles with a half sack at Idaho ...
