Washington closed his spectacular career by earning first-team all-Southern Conference accolades after leading the league with 939 receiving yards in 2013. He finished his career ranked eighth in school history with 139 receptions and ninth with 1,837 receiving yards. He is also Appalachian's all-time leader in kickoff-return yardage (1,289) and average (23.4 yards per return). Washington, a senior with a 3.80 cumulative grade point average in architectural design, is only the second NFF National Scholar-Athlete in Appalachian State history (joining D.J. Campbell, who earned the honor in 1992).
