Served as the Rams' punter for all 12 games, averaging 40.9 yards on 42 punts, with 12 inside the 20, 10 of 50-plus yards, and nine touchbacks...After CSU lost its second-team all-conference punter following the '08 season, the true freshman and USA Today prep All-American was named the Rams' No. 1 punter three days before fall camp began...In college debut at Colorado (Sept. 6), played key role in the field-position battle, averaging 42.2 net yards on five punts (44.2 gross); first college punt was a line drive of 41 yards, but good Rams coverage held CU to only a 2-yard return, then gave the Buffs a long field on three straight second-half punts, getting excellent hang time on a 43-yarder (fair catch) and 51-yarder (0-yard return)...In third quarter of eventual 24-23 win vs. Weber State (Sept. 12), with the Rams trailing 23-17, punted 49 yards to pin the Wildcats at their own 8-yard line; the CSU defense then forced WSU to punt from its end zone...Instrumental in Rams' 35-20 win vs. Nevada (Sept. 19), averaged 47.2 yards on six punts, with two inside the 20; boomed a 67-yard punt in the first quarter, just prior to DeAngelo Wilkinson's fumble recovery that set up John Mosure's touchdown, CSU's longest punt since Jeff Babcock hit an 89-yarder, the school record, vs. New Mexico, Oct. 30, 2004...His 76-yard encore in the second quarter was the sixth-longest punt in CSU history, and take away his 20-yard punt late in the first half, unsuccessfully trying to corner the Wolf Pack in its own territory, and the true freshman averaged 52.6 yards on five of his punts; earned conference special teams Player of the Week honors for his efforts...In conference-opening loss at No. 19 BYU (Sept. 26), pinned a pair of punts inside the Cougars' 20...Averaged 49.0 yards on three punts in loss vs. Utah (Oct. 10), including a 53-yarder and a pair inside the 20...Had a decent day in loss vs. San Diego State (Oct. 24), twice pinning the Aztecs inside their own 20 on fair catches, on punts into the wind...In loss at UNLV (Nov. 7), nailed a 67-yarder just before half, downed at the Rebels' 5-yard line...In 17-16 loss vs. Wyoming (Nov. 27), hit a 53-yard punt without a return in the first quarter.
