2012 Season
Selected First Team All-Western Athletic Conference (Coaches selection) for the 2012 college football season. Harris, a native of Los Angeles, Calif., tallied 56 tackles on the season, while leading the team with 10 pass break-ups, ranking him tied for sixth in the WAC and 68th in the nation. He recorded five games with at least six tackles, ranking him sixth on the team in total tackles.
2011 Season
Harris played defensive back in 2011 in 13 games for NM State. He collected 27 tackles on the year and two pass break ups. In the Aggies' opening game of the season, Harris grabbed three tackles and a pass break up versus Ohio (Sept. 3). Against UTEP (Sept. 10), Harris tallied four tackles and his second pass break up of the season. He recorded a career-high five tackles against Hawai'i (Oct. 22) and Fresno State (Nov. 12). Harris then grabbed four tackles versus Louisiana Tech (Nov. 26).
High School
Harris was a second team all-district selection in 2007 for Dorsey High School. He helped his team to a 16-8 record during his junior and senior seasons. Harris also ran track and field, earning a third place finish in the city meet in 2007 and second in city and third in state his senior season.
Harris is the son of Chandra Franklin. He was also raised by his grandmother Joanne Franklin. He is undecided in a major.
