Watch Now: Time to Schein: Jamal Adams demands a trade from the Jets (2:58)

The New England Patriots' dynasty was considered to be over when the legendary Tom Brady elected to depart after 20 seasons with the team and sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That may not be the case, however, as the perennial AFC East champions took a chance on former NFL MVP Cam Newton, who won the award in 2015 but has battled ineffectiveness and injuries since guiding the Carolina Panthers to Super Bowl 50. Should you now back New England with your picks on 2020 NFL win totals?

New England has a projected win total of 9.5 games in the latest 2020 NFL odds from William Hill. The reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens are listed at 11.5, while the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints top the NFC at 10.5. Before making any NFL picks on 2020 season-long win totals, be sure to see the latest NFL predictions from SportsLine's proven computer model

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every NFL game 10,000 times and has crushed human experts on a consistent basis. Since its 2015 inception, the model is up over $7,000 for $100 players on its top-rated NFL picks.

And when it comes to NFL win totals, the model is coming off another banner year. In 2019, it went 18-11 on its over-under picks, with three pushes.

Now, the model has generated each team's projected win total, and in many cases it's strikingly different than the Vegas line. You can head to SportsLine to see the picks.

The model's top 2020 NFL win total predictions

One of the 2020 NFL picks the model is recommending: Go under nine wins for the Indianapolis Colts. The team was blindsided when quarterback Andrew Luck shocked the sports world by announcing his retirement just two weeks before the 2019 season-opener. It proceeded to finish under .500 (7-9) for the second time in three years but signed a veteran signal-caller to help in its quest for its second playoff appearance in six campaigns.

Jacoby Brissett started 15 games for the Colts last season and completed 60.8 percent of his passes for 2,942 yards, but they lost five of their final six contests and finished third in the AFC South. Indianapolis made a number of offseason moves it hopes will help it qualify for the playoffs, with none being bigger than the signing of eight-time Pro-Bowler Philip Rivers

Rivers' 2019 season was his 16th with the Chargers, one in which he recorded his fourth-highest number of passing yards (4,615), but expecting him to continue playing at a high level at his age and lead the Colts to more than nine victories may be too much to ask.

How to make 2020 NFL win total picks

The model also generated huge disparities on other teams, including the Eagles. Philadelphia posted nine wins a year ago and got a full 16-game season from quarterback Carson Wentz. Oddsmakers set Philly's 2020 win total at 9.5, and the projection model has a strong opinion on the team's fortunes. You can see every projected win total for every team right here.
