49ers-Packers fight breaks out after dirty Clay Matthews tackle
A fight broke out in Packers-49ers after Clay Matthews made a questionable tackle on Colin Kaepernick as the quarterback ran out of bounds.
Football shouldn't be soft and I don't wave the pom-poms for people trying to keep defenders off quarterbacks. That being said, what was Clay Matthews thinking when he decided to tackle Colin Kaepernick as the 49ers quarterback ducked out of bounds? The result was a fight in the middle of a very good game and a bunch of penalties and this ridiculous picture of Matthews riding Kap piggyback.

As you might expect, this ended with both gentlemen on the ground and it didn't make the 49ers players happy.
Left tackle Joe Staley came flying over to the sideline and got all up in Matthews grill, which resulted in Matthews punching Staley's helmet. (The Packers linebacker should have been ejected but wasn't.)
Packers players and 49ers players all started pushing and shoving on the sidelines and a big brawl nearly broke out before the referees were able to corral everyone.
The end result? They played the down over after Matthews was flagged for a late hit and Staley was tagged with an offsetting unsportsmanlike penalty.
Fortunately Staley was bailed out because on the next play -- once again a 3rd-and-6 -- Kap hit Anquan Boldin for an easy touchdown to give the 49ers a 14-7 lead.
