Aaron Hernandez in new jailhouse letter: 'I'm a great dude'
A third Aaron Hernandez letter from jail has hit the public and it features Hernandez saying that he's "a great dude."
Aaron Hernandez, currently being held in jail after being arrested and charged with murder, is writing letters like crazy. And the people he's writing are selling the letters like crazy.
We'd already seen a pair of letters -- the first one featured Hernandez saying he's NOT GUILTY -- and now a third apparent letter has emerged. This one, found by RadarOnline.com, is written from Hernandez to "Collin" and was helpfully transcribed by the good folks at Deadspin.
In this letter, Hernandez writes that his "biggest fear" is that his daughter won't "know daddy." In his postscript, Hernandez adds that he's a "great dude."
And yes, of course it features Hernandez explicity asking the reader to "keep this [letter] private."
Hey brotha, let me start by saying thanks for the support, it definitely means alot! Everything happens for a reason in life in both of our situations. Whatever obstacles/struggles will only make us stronger. We actually have something in common because my dream as a kid was to play in NBA an is still my favorite sport but had a better chance in football! Never be down from your incident because "God" has a plan before all of us & that's why I'll never be down! Stay away from all negative people so your always there for your little boy cuz I miss by little girl terribly an my biggest fear of all is she wont know daddy! She said daddy first time or should I say "DaDa" and had to hear it from jail. Im going fine but wanted to write you and definitely wanted to say thanks for the support! Hope to hear back from you if wanted! Please keep this private is all I ask!———>
P.S. Im a great dude don't believe all the neg. publicity please!
*Media is the Negative of the fame! Stay up and keep a smile on that babys face & Be there for him!
Thanks again brotha!
I have no idea how much money these people are making by selling these Aaron Hernandez letters to the press, but whatever it is, is it worth it? I guess I'd take a famous, alleged murderer's letter written SPECIFICALLY TO ME and sell it for a couple thousand dollars. I guess. I wouldn't be comfortable knowing he knew exactly who sold him out though, you know?
Whatever. These people are shopping the letters and they are something else. "Don't believe all the [negative] publicity please!"
That's not questioning the whole "innocent until proven guilty" thing. It's just that Hernandez really isn't dealing with "negative publicity" at this point.
