Adidas giving away $100K for fastest 40 run in adizero cleat
Adidas is giving away $100,000 to the player who runs the fastest 40-yard dash while wearing one of their adizero cleats.
INDIANAPOLIS -- The 40-yard-dash is by far the most popular of all events at the NFL combine. And this year the participants might like it even more if they run the fastest time, thanks to a $100,000 reward from Adidas.
Adidas announced Friday -- and put an ad in the Indianapolis Star and on buses around Indy -- that whoever runs the fastest 40 time at the 2014 NFL Combine while wearing the company's new adizero 5-star cleat.
We'll keep an eye out as to who might end up wearing the cleats. There's probably some concern from certain players about not wanting to change the way they operate the day of their 40 by switching to the cleats.
But if you're an upcoming draft-eligible guy who can run fast and you're wearing Adidas shoes already, you should probably be licking your chops right now.
