Andy Dalton booed, hits homer at MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game
Andy Dalton appeared for the MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game in Cincinnati and was booed. Ouch.
Because we live in this world of demanding quarterback perfection, somehow Andy Dalton -- who has four playoff appearances and 40 wins in four years as Bengals quarterback -- isn't beloved in Cincinnati.
Need further proof? He was booed at a Celebrity Softball Game that took place Sunday night before the MLB All-Star Game.
Dalton appeared along with a number of different celebrities, but our baseball spy and CBSSports.com colleague Dayn Perry reports that Dalton was booed quite heavily when he stepped to the plate.
"Dalton was booed at pregame intros and before his at bats," Perry writes. "Some cheers mixed in but mostly boos. He later hit probably the longest home run of the game."
Dayn also snagged a pretty swell action shot of Dalton just before the quarterback went yard.
Of course maybe if Dalton had as many playoff wins as he did Celebrity Softball Game home runs Bengals fans would stop booing him.
(In all seriousness, though, you've gotten spoiled, Cincy fans. Do none of you remember the 90s Bengals?)
