Assault charges dropped against ex-Browns WR
Assault charges against former Browns receiver Reggie Rucker have been dropped.
Assault and menacing charges have been dropped against former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Reggie Rucker according to Evan McDonald of Cleveland.com. A Bedford Municipal Court judge dismissed the misdemeanor charges after an altercation at the Highland Park Golf Course on April 30.
Rucker allegedly grabbed the throat of a man and threatened to shoot him. The Warrensville Heights native reports to prison on Oct. 28 to serve a 21-month sentence for embezzling charges. The 68-year old was re-directing money from the Cleveland Peacemakers Alliance to his gambling addiction.

The D.C. native also played for the Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots and New York Giants during his 13-year NFL career. He accumulated 447 receptions for 7,065 yards and 44 touchdowns.
