Two months after Bears fullback Evan Rodriguez was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, he’s reportedly been arrested again.

This time, according to the CBS affiliate in Chicago, he was arrested at 3:30 a.m. Friday morning and charged with DUI, speeding and improper lane usage.

The charges in the first case were eventually dropped, but on Friday afternoon the Bears released this statement about his latest incident:

“We are aware of the reports regarding Evan Rodriguez. We are currently gathering information to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the situation.”

During his rookie season in 2012, Rodriguez started in five of the 12 games he played while making four catches for 21 yards.

“Certainly was disappointed in his arrest,” Bears general manager Phil Emery said in April. “Certainly Evan knows that I was disappointed. He was re-educated on my expectation of a Chicago Bear on and off the field and I certainly expect good things from him. He was in the middle of having a really good offseason. He was down training with Brandon (Marshall).

"They were having some really good sessions. He made an error in a decision as far as where he was at, time and place, fortunately there’s been no case moving forward, but I was disappointed in him. He’s aware of that and we expect big things from him in terms of improving.”
