With 3:50 to play Sunday, Bears backup quarterback Jason Campbell entered the game in place of starter Jay Cutler. Though the score was close (the Vikings ended up with the 21-14 victory), it was clear the day for Cutler, who suffered a neck injury, was done.

According to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora, the reason for that is because the team fears Cutler might have suffered from whiplash. La Canfora’s source said the team will know more after further evaluation scheduled for Monday.

"The early prognosis looks like he will be OK," La Canfora wrote, "but [the Bears] will await further word after Monday's evaluation."

Cutler completed 22 of 44 passes for 260 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions in the game. On Campbell’s only series, he put together a 10-play, 72-yard drive that ended with a 16-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Marshall that cut the Minnesota lead to seven. Chicago, though, didn’t recover the onside kick, and the Vikings kneeled out the clock to win.

You’ll recall that Cutler was injured last month and missed a game because of a concussion.
